Not far off signing someone
Won't give anything away until tomorrow
Hope it's just not another non-story from Radio Stoke
My money is on Whitehead or Gardner

I hope it is Fulop - in fact I hope it is three or four of our targets.

I personally reckon if we sign Fulop alone tomorrow then Whitehead and Higgy aren't coming...
I would expect anymore than Fulop alone to be announced together?

Not Gardner FFS! What has he ever done other than fuck up and get injured?

Ooh a one cap wonder! So did Michael Ricketts. He's done nothing at Tottenham and Everton and whenever I've seen him he makes a mistake.

The fact that he HAS played for England and that Everton took him last season (a Champions League chasing side) is a good indicator of his ability to me.
If we're honest, we are going to struggle to get better and I happen to think he is a great signing and hopefully with one or two more like Whitehead more will follow as they will be encouraged by those we have managed to attract.

The big issue with Gardner is his fitness and injury problems. If he is fully fit and can remain injury free then he could be a shrewd signing considering he wouldn't cost too much. He is strong, has a bit of pace (presuming he hasn't lost it through the injuries) and can chip in with a few gaols on set pieces which is just what we would need.
The fact is he would be a gamble, but one worth taking imho.

I don't recall the two of them missing too many games through injury. We are so quick to write people off before they have even played a friendly let alone a competitive game

Its also worth noting that he is a left footer...

He's clearly decent enough. I remember Rudge predicitng England honours when he was at Vale (and I suppose he was, somehow, proved right) But his injury record is absolutely awful; he makes Anderton look like a never-miss-a-game man. He must have had one of the worst decades of injury hell ever known. For that reason alone, he'd be one hell of a gamble. www.spurs.vitalfootball.co.uk/sitepage.asp?a=77903It seems like some Spurs fans see him as an accident waiting to happen - a kind of Bramble

knowing our tone, i am sure he will get the defence sorted first so i would expect it to be the players mentioned.

If what McGarry says is true then I doubt if we will hear anything until the player or players sign on the dotted line - hopefully today.
