News circulating in the last few moments that former Cardiff city player Peter Whittingham has passed away at the age of 35.
What the fuck is going on in 2020.
RIP, some player in this division.

Sad news, good player and no age to be taken away 🙁. In these difficult times we all need to look out and look after each other.

Awful news. Liked him as a player. Great left foot. I'd have said he was much older than that. He seemed to have been around for ever.

Awful news.
I remember several posters on here saying we should go for him when he was scoring 20+ goals from midfield for Cardiff in the Championship (2009/10?)

Odd if he has indeed passed away.

I’ve just done some searching because I was shocked at not being able to find the story on the bbc football page, from what I can tell he’s fighting for his life in intensive care. Here’s hoping he wins that fight.

Cracking player in his prime. One of those opposition players I really hoped would end up at Stoke. I hope the news is not confirmed. EDIT: Incidentally what a great piece of business for Cardiff City. Cost them £350k and scored 85 goals in over 400 games. Puts the Imbula and Berahino signings plus a few others by Stoke into perspective.

Bit confusing as it said he'd passed away yesterday?
Good news though if there's a chance he can recover......

Pretty sure ourselves and I think Reading were keen on him but he made it clear he wanted to stay at Cardiff as his wife was from there and settled. Think was pre season when just promoted to the Prem

Lets hope he pulls through
I took my nephew to see Cardiff Vs Wolves and he scored a hatrick, the third of which was a free kick which was destined to go in the second he stepped up. He ran the show and made it seem almost no effort. He had numerous opportunities to play at a higher level but was happy to be a club legend in the Diff
