Number of positive tests is increasing. How and why? Testing regularly, 'secure' isolated facilities, limited contact and training groups. Get it cancelled.

Assuming the same players are being tested, then the serious question remains as to why the positive results are increasing, even if it is only slightly? The players are limited to numbers in the training ground at one time (training in small groups), are tested twice weekly, don't eat together, don't get changed at the club, are straight in and out of the building, have training equipment regularly cleaned and wiped down. What if 20 test positive next week? Then what? Are people not even concerned?

The text refers to testing between 28th and 29th May yielding 10 positive tests. It didn't refer to it as a running total so why does the type of test or Data Science make a difference? In my mind the number found positive is down to a failing in safety processes and procedures, and/or the lockdown being lifted too early rather than the type of testing and data gathering. Surely the two are mutually exclusive here?

We have to end the season one way or another now.
I have a neighbour who knows a player from league one and he said that any teams who have nothing to play for will play the kids. How is that fair? Any team fighting relegation who plays mid table teams will be in easy street. Does this mean that teams will be fined for playing weakened sides?
How is this any fairer than ending the season now and baseing the results on teams playing each other with their best sides.
I'm not going to say what the best way is but we need to finish the season have a proper pre season and start in August.

Get it cancelled for crying out loud. I think secretly the championship doesn't want to carry on but the problem we will have here now that the prem are going to conclude, we will have champions runners up and European places up for grabs and so relegations, now if the championship should say we are cancelling our league and thus no champions or relegation then what? It's a massive issue and if we want promotion to the prem from the championship then something needs to be sorted out.

If the season does finish off there will be a lot of bad feeling as there will be a lot of unfair games where sides will field weakened sides which will give some teams unfair advantages.

It's a massive issue and if we want promotion to the prem from the championship then something needs to be sorted out. The bigger question/issue is 7 positive tests in League 2. Given there are probably only 4 teams training for any potential play offs then that is a huge number in comparison.

And if this guy at Newcastle makes the takeover then things will only get worse. Greed and foreign owners. It's time like this that I'm so proud of our owners and even Tony Scholes. Over the years theyve done some amazing gestures to the fans and local people.

What an total fucking sham.
Games behind closed doors, teams playing weakened teams, teams weakened by the virus, no opportunity to get properly match fit, loads of games forced into a short period.
This isn't a competition. It's a total shit show.

This isn't a competition. It's a total shit show. Sadly the Bundesliga have set the precedent here. Dynamo Dresden put their entire squad in isolation due to positive tests when games kicked off and the Bundesliga ok'd it. They are playing catchup against teams that are more match fit than they are. All teams have played 28/29 games and they're stuck on 26. All teams are now 2-3 games more sharp than they are and also more conditioned after their players have been isolated. Imagine that was us going into a double header against Wigan and Middlesbrough?

So just out of 135 tests from league 2, 5% have got it and probably didn't know, makes you wonder how far this virus has gone, but that's for another thread ......
