Getting back into Airfix kits again. Used to make loads as a youngster....mainly covered in glue and thick layers of paint. Now I have a little more finesse, tools and time, I make a much better job and am quite proud of what I build. I find it relaxing and quite therapeutic....until I balls it up.

DC comic nerd, got comics from the 1940s paid 1000s for and no I don't look like Comic Book Guy or wear Green Lantern T shirts. Big fan of old gangster films and 50s Sci Fi. I might delete this. Japanese horror also.

How about 1950’s Japanese gangsters being thwarted by Green Lantern type superhero’s, whilst dealing with some horrific outer space invasion🇯🇵🕴🏻🦸🏼♂️👽💀

Gardening, I used to hate it when I was younger now I can spend hours out there. Travelling, caused by our sons living abroad it gives us the motivation to visit.

Tapestry / needlepoint. I make up my own designs. I'm not very savvy about this attachment stuff, but hopefully this photo shows one I finished about 8 years ago of all the things I miss about central and north Staffordshire - scenery, landmarks, memories, etc. It's about 1m square. Quote around the sides is from The Old Wives' Tale. Attachment Deleted

Japanese horror also. Well, since we're telling each other all about our embarrassing hobbies... I think there's a element of nerd in most people. I have a load of comics dating back to the 80s but those are Beano and Dandy. I like Manga (One Punch Man, Baki, Ashura Kengan - all on Netflix) and to relax I like playing/watching Rocket League and I like playing Hearthstone (which is an online fantasy card game). I like Heroic Fantasy literature (mainly David Gemmell - I've read and have all of his books). I like most science fiction / fantasy TV series as well, including Shannara Chronicles, the Originals, Star Trek (inc. the old ones) and many others. Less embarrassing ones include Spartacus, Witcher, GOTs, Walking Dead, Van Helsing, etc. I also watch a lot of other more serious series like House of Cards, Homeland, Better Call Saul, Narcos, etc.

I keep Hobbys to help keep the pigeon population down I dont mind wood pigeons eating my bird food and so far I've not have many "flying rat" pigeons invading. I have finches, tits, robins, sparrows, starlings, black birds among others. My missus hates the wildlife lol squirrels, mice etc but I dont mind at all in fact i spend ages feeding the mice with the odd midget gem and nuts and seed !!

I used to fix up/restore old GPO rotary dial telephones and trim phones. Got loads of em now, so looking for another indoors old school tech hobby. Got myself an old motorcycle so it’s good to be back on the classic bike scene again. I also collect Double Diamond beer memorabilia though I rarely buy much now. I’ve started to collect memorabilia to do with Bradford Park Avenue FC.

Now I have a little more finesse, tools and time, I make a much better job and am quite proud of what I build. I find it relaxing and quite therapeutic....until I balls it up. Me too mate. Started last year with a 4ft long Titanic, then did a large-scale Flying Fortress (Memphis Belle). Both gifts from Mrs Q based on her favourite films (yeuch).
I'd mentioned ages ago that the first ever photo of me was perched on the handlebars of my dad's Norton Manx 500 *** so this appeared in my Xmas stocking
Just finished the engine & as it's a very accurate model physically, it's a bl00dy tricky one to build. Great fun, though, & helped cut my cigarette intake massively.
*** in the background you can just make out my dad's homemade double bass sitting in his homemade sidecar. Ace. Sadly he was forced to sell the bike after he forgot my mum was on the back one day & he flew a humped-back bridge at 50mph. Dad went barrelling off down the road as mum went wheeeeee ..... splat. I don't think he was ever quite so enamoured of the clapped out Austin Cambridge she made him buy instead. That certainly never got airborne.
