30 years since our 0-0 draw with Ipswich. Significantness assured because it had the greatest/worst miss ever from Garry Brooke.
Unbelievable miss. Quite marvelous in it's own way.

Keith Scott v Notts Country from under the bar then feigned injury. Graham Shaw v Chelsea and of course the Hooper save v Liverpool but not a sitter as such just a glorious chance to cause the upset of all upsets.

Dont think it was any worse/better than Allen's miss earlier this season.

Positive was Notts County, somehow put it over then hobbled off . Steve Cherry in goal, great keeper. I still thank Martin O'Neill when I see him on TV for wanting that useless article, Scott so much at Norwich

Pretty certain it was Pompey also. It's almost etched on the brain.

What about Choupo-Moting's for PSG?
Couldn't have happened to a better bloke.

Didn’t Jon Parkin miss an absolute sitter vs Newcastle at the Brit in FA Cup? We absolutely mullered them but ended 0-0 with us losing replay just as Keegan had been announced as their new manager.

The Scott one was definately against Pompey. Probably the worst miss I've seen live and to cap it off we went on to lose 2-0
Haven't seen the Brooke one...he was fairly bang average though

We won this game. Had a blinder against us for Plymouth but we won with a dubious pen and no Keith Scott.

Haven't hated many Stoke players but had a real dislike for Scott. Brilliant business swapping him for Shezza

Think we got real lucky there. Why we signed him will never know.

Macari would occasionally go all Pulis and go for a big lump up front. Regis sort of worked even if he appeared constantly surprised by what was happening. However Lou also was quite happy playing small good footballers up top, Stein,Shaw,Sturridge,Sheron, Bannister.

Dave Regis plus the mud conspired to produce an amazing miss at Vale Park.

The Scott one I referred to was at the Boothen End. I remember a Luton player hitting the underside of the bar from about 2 yards out with the goal gaping, may have been David Moss , not the pen he missed , in a different game.

Remember this mate but not sure it was a sitter as such. I might be wrong but sure the beast stuck a leg out and it was going in and then it either hit their defender or keeper to go for a corner. I remember thinking though that was our chance and the roof would have came off if it went in. Little did we know we were going to have ten years in the top flight, FA cup final and Europe following that season, I'd jump back to that Beast chance if I could and do it all again.
