When we have a Keeper who has the jitters. Defenders who are not very good. Midfielders who create very little. A wide man who can't get round a defender, doesn't cross and shoots like a 6 year old girl. Strikers, apart from Campbell, who very rarely score?

Which is why MON will get the keys to the town if he manages it. We need some help though, the fact this is going to be the highest scoring season for a while(for survival) is not helping. We are in with a chance though which if you would have said to me after 92mins of the game on boxing day - I would have said you are dreaming. The question is can MON keep polishing a turd till the end of the season

Despite not being able to get away from the relegation dog fight, our recent from isn’t too bad.
Middlesbrough, Hull and Charlton are in free fall and I don’t think Luton or Barnsley will be able to sustain their current form.
It is concerning how we seem to be relying solely on our home games to get three points though.

We’re not thar bad we just need to kill off games. With the players we have we should be mid table. Our midfield is ok and defence isn’t even that bad and we aren’t conceding many chances. Our biggest issues are GK, LB and our wide players especially with McClean out.

Get mcclean fit as quick as possible to even give our selves a chance and pray to the football gods that forest smash boro on Monday and hull continue their atrocious form but unfortunately we play them next week so no doubt we will be charitable as ever

It’s easy to get carried away with ups and downs of the table, we could be in the bottom three come Monday which isn’t good, however we’re now arguably fighting to stay out of the last relegation spot with 6 other teams, whereas 7/8 weeks ago we were looking at any 3 teams from 4 involved.
In the next couple of weeks alone it’s Charlton v Middlesbrough, Wigan v Luton, Stoke v Hull, Hull v Charlton, Reading v Stoke and Huddersfield v Wigan. They can’t all win so we simply need to take care of business at our end, beat Hull, a draw at Reading and we’ll be in a good spot.....

Try leaving attacking players on the pitch when your winning instead of taking them all off and allowing teams to camp in your half!

Strikers, apart from Campbell, who very rarely score? ..by doing exactly what we've done for the last 3 games, 1 point in away games and 3 points in our home games! ....or the average points per game as we've got under O'Neill. I think we'll stay up, Luton, Barnsley and Hull for the drop.

Last 3 games - 1 at home and 2 away and we've got 5 points. That isn't relegation form. With some teams in freefall and if we continue with our current form then I can't see us getting relegated. Having said that, we must not go into one of our inconsistent runs again or we might be in trouble.

4 wins & a draw to stay up as it looks very much like a very high total points for relegation this season. Lose at home to Hull & we maybe down its more than a six pointer.

There are so many ways of looking at it, depending on your perspective. We all would have loved to hold on yesterday but we didn’t, partly down to a daft tackle and partly down to the referee buying one of the worst dives in history.
We’ve conceded 1 goal in three games, come away with 5 points from the trickiest 9 that we’ll have for a while and we’re still out of the bottom three. Even if we fall back in tomorrow night, it’s still the same case as before. Win our home games and try not to lose the away games.
It’s only the good form of others that has kept us under pressure. In most other seasons, we’d probably be a few points above and not really worrying about relegation as much as we are. If you put our 39 points into the League One and Two tables at the moment, we’re 13 and 17 points clear of the drop.
I think we’ll do it quite comfortably despite the precariousness of our current position. I don’t see Luton, Barnsley or Charlton bettering our tally by the end of the season. Then you have Boro, Hull and Wigan also in there.

Main thing yesterday was to not lose to Luton. Yes they were very poor and had we been a bit more savvy, we should have taken all 3 but the main aim is to not lose to those around us and dont forget Luton won last 2 at home and gaining confidence. Hull & Middlesbro are struggling to get any points. Just keep picking up the points and we will be fine.

We need three more wins. We’ll get them. 3? I'd say 4 and a draw. Yes 12 or 13 points to be sure, 3 wins and 3 or 4 draws. If MON keeps going at the current run rate, we get 15 and are fine. Even this week, 5 from 3 with 2 away games is more than enough

We stay up by continuing the form of the last three games. We have conceded only one goal in 270 minutes of football. We would have taken 5 points from the last three games. We play most of the teams around us over the next few weeks or so. We back our players to stay up. We back MON because don’t forget this isn’t his doing and he has given us a good chance of surviving We are in a relegation scrap, so above all we stay cool And if we do go down, we all turn up next season and support our beloved football club

Quite simply we keep doing what we have done since MON took over and we should be ok. How many times do some of you need reminding, we were dead and buried before he took over whereas now we have an excellent chance of stopping up. And when we do stop up, we can all celebrate as it will feel as good as a promotion , combined with next season to look forward to when the man can start with a clean slate, not with the calamity Jones left behind. Keep some faith
