Thought Morrison bossed him all game. He should use his pace and go in the gaps Did he? I must have imagined the 3 very good chances where he really should have scored and the bulldozing run to set up the second. Yes you're right Morrison owned him.

But for a brilliant save he’d have been on the score sheet as well as creating the second goal
Frustrates me he never jumps but he does cause problems to defenders and will have a go

Anybody who questions his contribution to up front for us is an utter cunt
And yeah I’m pissed 😁

Thing is, if he jumps and wins a header today it gets flicked on to no one. Allen and Clucas won a fair few second balls from the defender's headers today. I'm fairly sure it was part of the plan today that he wasn't going to try to flick it on.

Thought Morrison bossed him all game. Yeah, totally dominated him particularly on the 2nd goal - plus the 2 chances either side of the goal. Problem for defenders is they have to do it 'all' game. Strikers only need a moment to do something. Maybe he should've scored today - hopefully he's saved it for a scrappy 1-0 win. He ran and worked hard today. The link up with Powell is getting better but it's harder when Powell isn't in the middle.

Oh did it? I thought it went rocketing into the top corner? So did I when I read you thought the header was sublime. He headed the ball out for a throw in.

He was only 80% fit as well today, considering that I thought he grew into the game really well after a sluggish start.....

A progressive winger who's first thought is to go forward, rather than to stop and turn back, gets on the end of that and it cuts a defence wide open. Maybe next year after a good squad purge?

Getting better all the time, like his confidence to smash it when he gets it. Offers so much pace and touch.

Bizarre how hungry young lads who get given a run in the team improve. Where as, getting a few minutes here and there, sitting on the bench stifles their progression.

I wince every time he sprints full pelt as I half expect him to pull up.
Keeping him fit will be our biggest challenge as he seems quite susceptible to muscle injuries.
If we can get close to 40 games out of him next season I’d back him to be our first striker since Thorne to score 20 in a season.

Should he be rested at Blackburn and saved for Luton? We are not in a position to pick and choose unfortunately. Lose at Blackburn and we could be back in the bottom 3.

Should he be rested at Blackburn and saved for Luton? I'd start him at Blackburn however there's a case for resting him. I'd back him to score at Ewood.

I've liked him from the off tbh. Always thought he had a real eye for goal and was a natural finisher.
His off-the ball game & set-up play for others definitely needed improving. That looks like it's coming on nicely. Credit to the coaching staff for getting him to work on it & to TC (the younger) for applying himself.

He showed in glimpses last season that he was more than just a finisher but not often enough and I still think loaning him out was the correct decision.
That other side of his game though has come leaps and bounds. He's making runs he wouldn't run before, his hold up play is getting better, it's still a long way from where it needs to be but it's improving game on game which is alls you can ask for.
His movement and Powell have been the key to the MON era so far imo. They are the two real and quite massive differences with how we play.

His game really has developed this past couple of months. Whether that is as a result of playing, the work that has clearly gone on behind the scenes by both manager and player or a combination of the 2, it is brilliant to witness. The finishing has always been there. That much is clear from the warm up where he is miles better than the rest. It is, however, his all round game that is developing. He has been a real threat in the last 4 games, even though the results have gone against us at times and has offered more than simply a predatory instinct inside the box.
He is now getting regular chances in every game and that is more down to himself than anything else. His movement is better and more intelligent, he's physically stronger (and leaner in my opinion) and he's just more of a threat throughout every minute of every game.
20 goals next season has to be his target. Do that and we'll be at the right end of the table rather than the wrong end of it.

I can't help think we would have had to agree to a release clause that isn't too high on order for him to sign that contract.
Worried we will lose him in the summer, to the premier league

Do that and we'll be at the right end of the table rather than the wrong end of it. I said 6 weeks ago or so that his only attribute was the ability to finish. Since then he has developed exponentially and is turning into a strong, powerful Centre Forward, who, as you rightly say, has the potential to hit 20 goals next season. Really pleased for him, seems a sensible young man, which is quite remarkable given how his old man conducts himself.

Indeed. I had to watch the Preston home game from the comfort of my sofa (severe bout of man flu)! Doing so I decided to study Campbell individually alot more than I would do from in the stadium. I’m a big fan but on that particular evening he really frustrated me. It wasn’t our greatest night all round by any means but he was actually hiding on occasions. These occasions were every time and I mean every single time we had a throw in in the final third, Tyrese never ever once showed for the ball, not once! It really frustrated me to the point that I thought he must have been told not to. Problem was there were only 2 players making any movement on every throw and they were Allen or Powell. Tyrese was instantly running away from the action and standing with his hands on his hips in the penalty area. Now this week v Cardiff he was doing the exact opposite. Showing for the ball, receiving it and allowing others to run past him which made us much more dangerous. I can only think it is something worked on in detail on the training pitch. But for sure it’s making him into a much better all round striker.

Hopefully he's stayed fit through the break and can hit the ground running with some goals. The young players could be vital for us in this way.

hope Tyrese can hit the ground running these last 9 games in my opinion he will be a top goalscorer make no mistake about that, look at the goals he as scored so far.each one as a touch of class about it, get behind the lad and we could have another steino or sheron, or peter thorne on our hands
