After that shit show on Saturday i think we will be very lucky to stay up we need 16 points from our remaining games. These players just do not have the fight or the will to battle for survival games coming up against Barnsley Wigan & Luton are vital but fill me with dread. We also have Leeds Bristol City & Notts Forest away who are all playing for automatic promotion or a play off place it does not look good at all & i feel sorry for MON who i think is a good manager but he has been dealt a very poor squad of players who are just not up to it. Team playing for promotion sometimes lose their nerve, just look at Leeds. I'm not saying there's nine points waiting just for Stoke, but there are nine points which are open for us to challenge for. This season we have actually done rather well against top teams in their space, so...don't give up!

To concede 8 goals in the last two away games is relegation form no matter how you dress it up yes but you can cherry pick whatever stats you like. Our form since new year is playoff form so let’s be fair here It is a worry but I don’t think we need to throw the baby out with the bath water. I’d play Collins instead of Batth and the remainder of the side pretty much stays the same for me So actually you’d throw the baby in and take the Batth out...

Make the right changes and I think we've got a chance, we need someone more combative and defensive in the middle, it may dull our attack a little but given how easily we were ripped through in the last game its badly needed then its about getting the center backs right, whoever he decides is going to make or break the rest of our season imo.

Well they had it in coming from behind against Huddersfield, not crumbling when Charlton equalised, weathering Swansea’s early storm etc. Don’t think it’s quite that cut and dried yet. Even with TP’s survival seasons in both divisions we had patches like this even after the turnaround had started. I feel way more confident about our chances than I did on New Year’s Eve. Five wins really shouldn’t be beyond us.

We'll stay up but I don't want the genius of oneil to mask the fact that we should gladly be looking to get rid of the vast majority of that starting 11 from Saturday (and recent games). This group of players, with a few (very few) exceptions have stunk the place out for far too long.

At the end of November I think I’m right in saying we all thought we were down. We had a clueless manager playing players out of position and ranting and raving on the sidelines At that point everyone of us would have taken 4 points clear of relegation come mid feb. is that right or wrong? We played well first half on Wednesday but lost, played well for 30 minutes today My point chaps is that just because we have had a shocker after they scored their first that we are doomed. We certainly are not. We have a good manager that is a cool calming influence and I think we will be just fine. We have Luton, Barnsley and Wigan all to come and we can beat them all Qpr was always going to be tough and we are all bitterly disappointed especially after the first 27 minutes or so. But we are a long way forward of that shambles of a side that Jones left us with Or you could say we’ve started going backwards again? Spot on. We are absolutely dreadful, and in very deep shit.

We are much more fluent in attack under O'Neill, certainly since new year. Midfield still way too lightweight and get pushed off the ball way too easily. Not sure Cousins is that much stronger an option, but we certainly need to improve that area or else we will be bullied in the fixtures ahead. I don't want to revert to 4 3 3 again as that may mean sacrificing Powell.

We were stupid not to sign a left back in the summer, idiots not to in Jan, now we don’t have McClean running his balls off and covering the left side is wide open for us to get royally shafted. Throw in Batth, a centre back coming back from injury and it’s so easy for other teams.
It’s not difficult.
Plus the added extra of Sam Vokes. Jesus, Possibly slower that Parkin, with the turning speed of a 1982 Austin Allegro

Nothing good about 11 goals conceded in 4 games, even more so when it could have easily been 15 goals conceded in 4 games

The biggest worry for me is that any old dolt, even Nathan Jones, could watch us for 5 minutes and contrive a plan to easily beat us.

We're better than we were though, no? Derby preston and qpr games are as bad as it gets But since the turn of the year we’ve also seen more good performances than we have in a long time? Preston wasn’t really ‘as bad as it gets’, we’ve played worse and won this season.

Ok qpr was as pathetic as anything we’ve witnessed in the last 3 years. My point is we've gone from playing pretty much like that every week to now having a puncher's chance of getting ourselves out of it. The idea we've got no chance doesn't really hold up given performances overall since the turn of the year.

The idea we've got no chance doesn't really hold up given performances overall since the turn of the year. Derby was very worrying but could be put down to a blip at a decent team. Preston was poor but again a good team and we played ok for at least half the game. QPR was a fukin sirens-blaring emergency of a defeat. A defensive capitulation like that should not be coming along as part of an “improving” team’s repertoire, and was certainly as bad as anything we saw under Jones. If MON was under any illusion that the corner had been turned and we just had to ease away from the pack now, Saturday will have been a huge wake-up call. Hopefully it will sharpen his focus a bit regarding what’s needed to keep us up.

Anybody can beat anybody in this league. From what I saw, only highlights on Stoke City world, I was impressed with QPR. They moved the ball pretty well and their passing into the box and movement off the ball belied a team in their run of form and league position.
That said, Nick Powell's pass into Sam Clucas for the first goal was a beautiful thing. Back to the play, superb vision and one-touch execution. Tidy finish from Clucas too.
Baath and Chester still getting to know each other and look a bit rusty. Be nice to see Ryan back in the team. I think him and Chester or Collins might be a decent centre back pairing. He must have considered playing Clucas in McClean's position. Might see that satdee.
Losing away to a team who played well isn't going to define this season. Get back on the horse and beat Cardiff at the weekend and we'll all feel a little happier.

MON made it perfectly clear in his after QPR match interview that he is under no illusion of safety.

The weak links in the team are midfield, Ince, Batth, Bruno.
We can't sort out midfield until the summer but we can surely remove Batth, Ince and Bruno.
