10 - MON walks on water

Massive 3pts. The biggest game in a while for us, nightmares of us being in the bottom 3 last night and all our good work being undone - and breath
Results going our way and what looks like a Charlton side in freefall now beneath us also.
Chester 90 mins under his belt, Campbell back - all is good
All wins are a 10 now, but that gets 11 for showing bounce back ability after the Derby game

10.
Raised morale after a disappointing result and that is never easy to do. In particular he had Indi playing like there had been no issues last week.

10*
Im glad half time came after they scored as it gave us time to regroup, which we did.
Powells best game by a mile and ince was excellent but blotted his performance by not scoring that second opportunity.
Chester had a great debut as well.
Overall another positive game plan by MON.

10. Correct starting line up, rightly dropped Vokes, rightly dropped Lindsay for Chester. Got the tactics right and we were on top from start to finish. Their goal came from individual errors rather than tactical shortcomings. 3 goals. Got everything right today.

Picked a good looking side to start. I wouldn't have started Ince but he deserved his MOTM so MON got that one right. We let ourselves down conceding the daft goal before half time but MON's talk at half time would have told them not to let their heads drop and hit them hard after the break and that is exactly what they did. I had high hopes that MON would lead us to safety but I didn't think our performances would improve as quickly as they have done, nor did I expect him to improve our scoring record at the same time as tightening the defence. He has to have a 10 for today. Isn't it fantastic to see 3 goals starting to look commonplace, instead of being as rare as hen's teeth!

Cheers Albs, sorry I was late back x After Derby that was a fantastic bounce back to business as it should be (almost said 'as usual' but that would be tempting fate). Lovely strong flowing performance as a team for a good chunk of the 90, and Mick added cojones with whatever was said at HT, just when needed. And rightly, against my judgement and many more, stuck to his guns with Ince and was brilliantly rewarded. So, one more 10* from me

A 10 from me for getting those players motivated to take Charlton by the scruff of the neck. Yes, poor goal to concede but we played some lovely flowing football and I like the addition of Chester and Thompson. 👍🏻

A good solid 8.
Picked an attacking side who started like a house on fire in a game that was IMO a must win. Always vital to start a 6 pointer strong and we did.
After conceding an equaliser he earned his money at half time, as the players came out in a different gear for the second half and we scored an early goal in the second half for the first time in what feels like years. A perfect time to score when the game is level as it completely wrecks the oppositions team talk.
Good day at the office.
Whiskey and Guinness well earned.

9* Doesn't blindly change a side for the sake of change but Friday's performance demanded some changes and each change was justified unlike Nath's chopping and changing. He really is doing an impressive job at Stoke, looking forward to next season.

Today was the second most important game we've played all season. It could've, and should've, been a comfortable 3-0 win. To do what we did today under the pressure we were - fair fooks.
A brilliant bounce back from the horrors of Derby.
I've lost count of the amount of times we've scored 3 or more under MO'N. You could probably count on one hand the amount we had 2 years prior to MO'N coming in.

Some people like to rate the team and manager after listening to the Radio Stoke commentary as well which is fine but then you're just re-cycling someone else's view of the game. Your opinion of your opinion of the match is valid either way IMO but it's OK to differentiate. Gouranga.
