Hi, Our company have been trying to promote an excellent, quality tribute calendar 2020, for Alan Hudson, with no promotion possible from the club, other than Anthony Emmerson, who we've made contact with this week. We produced 375 calendars onsale since early December, at 8 matchday pubs in Stoke and online via mavericksmerchandise.com. They are currently on offer at only £2 each, having cost £5 each - we are hoping to recover some of the big loss we have made, and hopefully be able to pay a small fee to Alan. He currently lives in a council flat in Chelsea, with health issues. The pristine photos were kindly provided copyright free by the Sentinel Sportsdesk, plus others were bought from a 70s photographer and a photoagency. Alan himself has provided quotes and consultation. Described by one Stoke fan at the Bench and Bar, friend of Ian Dyer, the Bard of Boothen, 'It's a Brilliant calendar, if Stoke fans knew about it they would sell very well.' Great if you could collect yours this month online or from Black Lion, Cottage, Terrace Inn, Beehive, Staff of Life, Ye Olde Bull & Bush, Liquor Vaults or Bench & Bar. With the help of Anthony Emmerson, we will also now be liaising with club officials, organising the coach travel to QPR FC on the 15th, to sell / distribute the calendars to interested fans there. The money is secondary now to paying tribute to the Legend, with a product that will be appreciated by the purchaser. Attachment Deleted There are currently 150+ left at the pubs in Stoke and the same number in London ready for the 15th. Hope you will support! Sorry it's late

Good luck with this. A commendable effort. I note your comment that no promotion or publicity is possible through the club. I wouldn't worry as if the club had been involved in the production and distribution we would still be at the discussion or "monitoring" stage now.

Slightly off topic but I remember buying an Alan Hudson magazine from John Menzies when he signed in '74. There can't be many footballers who had their own magazine in the shops.... probably George Best, can't think of any others

I've just bought 5 as I've been unable to go down Stoke for the last month due to ill health. Going keep one and flog the others to my mates. Should be able get more than £2 each for them. I'll send you whatever else I raise. Fully deserves whatever support we can give Huddy for the pleasure of being able to watch the greatest player Ive ever seen live.
