Weird how the higher placed finishes post-Pulis seem to have dropped under the radar.....

Is he airbrushing the three good years we had after the Vinegared one left us?
Doing a Stoke isn't sacking a pragmatic manager who is taking us down the table. It's failing to sack his replacement when the warning signs are chewing on your testicles, and when you finally wake up you drag any old idiot off the street to keep you up, before totally losing your mind and hand over 50M to someone who has never spent money before!

Perhaps he means Palace will have three higher placed finishes and reach a cup semi? That doesn't mean every club doing so will implode as we did?

The reason I dislike Pulis so much is not so much Pulis himself ( although it also is ) but the way the lazy media and people on here constantly try and rewrite our history
Frustrates the fucking life out of me

Weird how the higher placed finishes post-Pulis seem to have dropped under the radar..... Yep. "...they tried to get clever, they tried to get fancy, and they ended up getting relegated." It seemed to me the drop in form started when Hughes bottled it and STOPPED trying to get clever and fancy.

I must have imagined 'BMX' and scoring nine goals in two home games against Liverpool and Spurs

If they're relegated and two years later in the bottom three of Division 2 staring down the barrel of FFP, I'll wager my tiny todger their Chief Exec wont be the same one.

But also the board believing in the fantasy that you can be self sufficient in the PL and survive. Here's a great idea 'lets sell our best player (Arnie) and replace him with a loan and a freebie' all in the name of self sufficiency. Crazy!!

I reckon its cognitive selection bias ... it doesnt register in people's consciousness if we do something that doesn't fit their expectations of us.

And that's probably going to contribute to Hughes bottling it. It's got to take the wind out your sails the idea of losing your best players.

To be fair, might Hughes have not used the £18m spent on a fat defender we didn't need and put that towards a replacement?

You make it sound as if they coughed up the idea to sell Arnie. It wasn't quite like that.

Top ten spenders in europe?
Imbula, berahino, Wimmer
60 million quid pissed down the drain following relegation?
Records broken for defeats, lack of goals etc?
No one else will ever do a stoke

Weird how the higher placed finishes post-Pulis seem to have dropped under the radar..... Because that hasn't actually happened. Pulis has the best Crystal Palace win ratio this century.

John Solako won 5 caps for England. Christ we must have been awful then, I’m guessing that was Graham Taylor era with superstar players like Carlton Palmer, Earl Barrett, Keith Curle, David White and Dennis Wise. No wonder poor old Taylor got the boot with that load
