Love the Ruts, not a fan of Baz that sings for Stranglers now, but might be tempted by this. They were a special bloody band with Hugh, and JJ up there with Peter Hook as the finest bass players of the punkier bands.

I've always thought I saw them on the No More Heroes tour but according to the dates shown on the link I can't see where they played the Viccy Hall on that tour. Must have been the Rats on Tour gig I saw which was to promote the Rattius Norvegitas album, I went to loads of gigs at the Viccy Hall for a couple of years, my mates Dad and Uncle worked the door so I never needed a ticket. Dates on the link work in the reverse way to what I thought they would but otherwise I found this site really interesting - www.45worlds.com/live/venue/victoria-hall/6

I went to a lot of gigs I wasn't that interested in, looking at the list I struggle to remember which ones I did and didn't go to if I'm honest. Wish I'd seen Supertramp there, didn't see them until about 25 years later
