Do those balls they are using in the Euros look like those cheap plastic balls your parents bought you when you went the seaside? The ones that when you kicked them the wind always sent them anywhere but where you intended it to go.

Penny floaters my nephew calls 'em. As Phil Collins may say, no skill required!

i remember as a kid the spin on these balls after you kicked them went opposite to a "casey" i.e kick with outside of the right foot and it bent to the left, or did i just have a twatty foot ;D

Yep, always go opposite. I think it looked nice, like the retro black and white, pentagons and hexagons style when seem from a distance

windy balls sounds like me after a night on the ale Your testicles fart after you've been drinking beer? As Matt has pointed out, the correct term for that type of ball is a "flyaway."

I think it would be brilliant if they made them use them in league matches, I would piss mesen laughing and it would definately add to my matchday experience. "Penny floaters" ha ha. My little lad has a couple and i was having a kick about in the garden, thought I would try and bend a free kick aroundthe swing and in the patio door, but my most powerful kick was unable to make headway against a slight breeze and reach the house, a distance of about 8 yards!

If a flyaway got caught in a following wind it could really travel, but if it hit you it would sting like hell. Far worse than getting hit by a normal ball.
