The one thing that they'll all have in common is that they won't be anywhere a Stoke shirt when they all played their best football. Crooks and Chapman were clearly playing decent football at Stoke to get their big moves. If Campbell gets a big move I'll be delighted, it means he's doing the business. That's all well and good mate, but it isn't what I said really.

For me Crooks was the best player and very skilful with a great left foot. Chapman was tall and ungainly but had that knack of being in the right place at the right time, and always scored goals. What they both had in common was suffering quite a lot of stick from us lot. Crooks in particular had loads of stick from the Butler street paddock ( I know cos I stood there) And I wonder if anyone else can remember him coming across to the Butler street and giving them some stick when he scored against us for Spuds? So imo Crooks the better player, but strangely, Chapman more effective through his career

Imagine if we'd kept them, and Heath and Bracewell. Put those two up top with Barker's (pre-POMO) midfield. Would have been a proper good side.

Played against both and with Chapman in younger years. Crooks much more skilful, but Chapman did very well considering his ability. Right place, right time I guess.
Campbell, quicker and better athlete (60 mins 😂) and reasonable finisher, still learning his grace.
