Gets all the flak but he got us the three points along with Campbell. The others hung on to it. He also did a lot of tracking back. Disagree. He had one assist and tracked backed. That’s his job and a minimum requirement. The defense won the game by protecting a very precarious lead.

Powell ince and Campbell combined to win the game for us and it was a joy to watch . Lovely goal.
Focussing exclusively on ince , he maybe has the talent ? To be a proper wide man , like Matty etherington .
But so far this season , to be brutally honest , he hasn't shown anything like the amount of tackling , running , passing , goals and assists , Matty etherington would have notched up by the end of January .
If he is going to be a proper footballer like ethers , he is going to have to improve dramatically
Hope he does it and proves the doubters wrong .
But he is going to have to up his game a lot .

No one here wants to see anyone fail in a Stoke shirt, but for some reason, like many others, he has regressed massively since joining the club. I'm sure there's a very effective player in there. I work with a few Derby fans and they can't believe Stoke fans don't rate him. He was assisting / scoring for fun at Derby, it has to be a confidence thing. I missed the goal but watched the last 75 mins and saw very little from him like going forwards, his defensive workrate during the game should be a bare minimum, maybe a run in an improving team will bear some fruit.

I have no doubt whatsoever that Tom ince is quicker , has a better first touch , more technical skill and is on paper a better wide man than Richard cresswell.
I have also no doubt , that when cresser was asked to play out of position , out wide , for Stoke , in the championship .
He made a better job of it , than ince .
Something is not adding up .

Hope its Ince's last game for Stoke. Bar the fluke assist, he was plain useless. If anything, Tommy Smith covered the right side, with scant help from Ince. For mine, Ince is terrified. Gregory is ineffective, Powell goes missing and Vokes is just as bad as Ince. I cannot wait for Sir MON to deploy Mame Diouf, Ngoy, Verlinden and the new fella that we just signed.

A very harsh assessment based on an element of truth. The assist wasn't a fluke, he did what he is employed to do. Received a good pass that set him free. He attacked with speed and got a very good cross in. I'm afraid you are largely right for the rest of the match, it was largely back to the Ince we have become used to. Just going through the motions, not taking anyone on, negative passing, and lacklustre defending. He really does a good impression of someone who just turns up for work for the money, and doesn't really want to be here. Powell, had one of his best matches, but faded during the match and was rightly subbed. Don't know where you get the idea Vokes is as bad as Ince. Vokes is immobile but a useful header and has scored 5 goals in relatively little playing time. I fully expect Vokes to start at home and be the target man, whereas away from home it appears MON's plan it to hit the opposition on the break.

Not at all impressed with him tbh.
The tracking back I've seen is bare minimum and he rarely then bothers to go the extra distance to make a tackle.
As for his pass for the goal, it was okay but he got fortunate with the deflection from the defenders attempted clear.
I expect a lot more successful runs/dribbles from him to be honest.

I think it highlights a very big problem within Stoke in player development. He is one of a very long list of decent players who have come here and then regressed.

Still think he has had more than enough chances and not produced. The odd good pass and pretending to huff and puff isn't enough for a professional footballer in my book. Every time he starts, we start with ten men. We can do better.
