It's so hard to put a rating on games like this. What did Mick honestly want out of it? Getting to the 4th Round would have been a nice enough bonus but he's rightly got the blinkers on about survival. He's seen fringe players through a full 90 and he's learned, if he needed to, who we miss most when they're not in the pitch... so if he set out mainly to learn something useful, does that count as job done? We kept our shape well, we were combative if not beautiful - for me it was a really unlucky goal and we were worth a draw on another day...
Call it 7 then, maybe??

Got it wrong given it was a nothing game given the priority to stay up
Absolutely should have started with Verlinden, Campbell and Ngoy.
He learned nothing from Ince and Woods that we did not know already
5 *

We are out v a poor Brentford side = 0 playing Ince -5 Negative formation -2 . playing Collins +2 letting Ngoy on for a bit +1 ends -3 for me .

Ince a negative accepted Resting key players to prioritise the survival fight very much a positive. -5? don't follow your logic here.

6 Was an inbetween sort of team, didn't get it. Don't give the most injury prone player in the squad in Powell, two games in 3 days. A timeframe proven to be bad for muscle injuries. Why recall verlinden then start Campbell?
Meh, we got knocked out which is the ideal scenario anyway.

6 from me experimented and rested players that needed resting, took a look at N'Goy, Davies and Verlinden. Obviously didn't want to lose but didn't seem that interested if we did, we have more pressing things to concentrate on. Gouranga.

4 - gutless performance. Hasn't he noticed how crap Ince is by now. I would literally play anyone over him, you don't need a passenger every game,
