Like him or loath him he's one of the very few humble footballers around. Yes I know he's had his past but he comes across as a properly grounded guy.
There was an interview in the last couple of weeks asking how hard it is with the Christmas schedule, he said something along the lines of:
It's not it's just football. My mum working 3 jobs to put food on the table was hard, but this is just football.
I remember when we were linked to him and not many on here wanted him, but I think he would have suited us.

The type of striker we can only dream of; aggressive, good in the air, strong, fast enough and scores a reasonable amount of goals.

Played at Woking in the FA Cup. When players were down injured he'd go and across and chat with the home fans. Down to earth bloke and aplayer you'd always hate playing against!

A combination of him and Pearson in the Watford dressing room will at least ensure there is a group of ‘focused’ players in their relegation fight. Heaven help anyone tarting around giving it the big ‘I am’.

Great character to have in a relegation dogfight, some of ours moaning yesterday when he milked it after his first need to take a long hard look at themselves after giving him dogs abuse from the start!
He's still a bluenose bastard though 😉
