Brek fucking Shea ? Game changer ? fuck me I still think he'll come good. Why ? He shouldn't have the title 'footballer'.

Rikhardur Dadason Marc Goodfellow Brek Shea Dean Crowe Brek fucking Shea ? Game changer ? fuck me ??? That's exactly my point & the point of this post! I'm not saying he was, he was brought in to be a creative flair game changing player but never was!

I think that the intention of this thread is to name players who could have changed a game for the better.

Title clearly says players who could be game changers, he was dogshit. Im clearly not disputing how poor Shea was which is exactly why he's on my list! Players like Eidur Gudjohnsen have also been listed on this post in the same way. The title is pretty ambiguous, if its specifically referring to their time at Stoke then I get your point. But it doesnt quantify which! Shea was a Stoke player who was signed as a flair goalscoring player which is exactly what he was at FC Dallas and for the USA but he never delivered for us. If you feel so strongly about Shea I'll delete his name off my list if it'll make you happy!

As for "flair goalscoring player", his best season returned 5 goals...…...in the MLS.

When we signed him we all expected more than what we got in only his handful of performances. Judging by the Twitter posts he used to put out around that time it doesnt seem his head was in the zone for playing football. Guessing he's one of those who'd earnt a tidy packet & downed tools.

That's my point, that isn't my description of Shea in any way shape or form, he was a shit player from a shit league, hence his handful of games.

Lee Trundle
Often seen near the Brit (allegedly) but never once seen gracing the hallowed turf in red and white. 🤣

Is it harsh to say Hoekstra, as much as I bloody loved the bloke? When he was fit, did he influence enough games, that is the question? I thought Hoekstra was good for us. He got double teamed a lot, which also opened up more space for other players. I wouldn't class him as a 'passenger' in games

Saying he was wank is too polite.

I think that the intention of this thread is to name players who could have changed a game for the better. He could have, just didn’t!!! He was the original brick shitus. Massive huge man, bulging with muscles. He glistened. He looked the ideal footballer. Throw himself about a bit in the box, he should cause mayhem. Trouble was he didn't. I suspect that he was too "nice".
He would receive a ball, and then set off on attack towards the goal. Nine times out of ten, after four or five paces he would tread on the ball and fall over. As far as I could see, he had no footballing skills at all.
It was a long time ago now, but as I remember, Diouf and Regis do seem to have certain similarities.
I clearly remember standing in the Boothen end and heard a voice behind me say "There is Cyril Regis who is a fantastic player. There is John Regis who can run 200 meters in seconds, and we get this donkey".
I'm sure that our Regis was a lovely fella and all that, but .....
EDIT: I've just looked on the Wiki and found that our Dave was very closely related to both Cyrill (spelt his name right this time), and John Regis. They had a brother who was stabbed to death in London.

Kitson. Goal machine for Reading, carthorse for stoke. Played wrong by Pulis. Like Tuncay(when he got a game).
