We are in dire straits, we should be easily beating teams like Luton but they will turn us over. Hahaha really?

You've got egg on your face mate, anything you want to say? To be fair to him, there are a fair few who look like idiots tonight. How people can go into any game thinking their team is going to lose, I don't know. If we were playing Barcelona tomorrow, I'd be believing and hoping that we could win.

Barcelona on the other hand .....

Christ it was a shit game between two awful sides. Not much to be bragging over. Thank God they gifted us three goals. It was a bad game but as for gifting goals, that’s how we’ve conceded 70% of the goals this season and I’d assume it’s the same for the rest of the division. We took the chances and that’s rarely happened much this year.

It must never happen in the Prem either. For it to be a "real" goal, that does actually count - the opposition defence must make no mistakes at all, and their Goalie misses saving it by a whisper. That is a proper goal!

I love being proved wrong, but lets be honest it was Luton not Brentford. But you said that we would lose to Luton, not Brentford.
Keep digging.
If we beat Brentford then its something to shout about as they put 7 past Luton. Comprende

We’re not going to get those gifts every game.

If you think the opposite that’s cool but it was an awful game of football between two sides who wouldn’t look out of place in the division below.

Which was wonderful. But it was still God awful on the whole. For 35 minutes We still didn’t play well imo past that. We took the chances gifted to us, which does make a change but I thought it was a wank game of football overall.

Parts of it definitely was, other bits we played well for more than fifteen minutes. Eight shots on target, their keeper made several good saves and we scored three Years, literally, since we have done that. Luton were terrible though.

I agree it was an awful game - largely because after the third we (very successfully) shut up shop (which was a shame as I thought they were there for a hammering) and Luton definitely looked like a League 1 side. However we were definitely a class above and if we can find one more team as a bad as Luton and Barnsley we have a decent chance of staying up on that showing.

I was actually amazed at how bad Luton were. Expected much more from them in terms of tempo, organisation etc.
Still, we got the result. Itll do. Next.

The save from Clucas was good, the other one was a bit Butlandy ie we were laughing that he should have held on to it.

It was successful in the fact we saw the game out with relative ease but as they got more comfortable more errors crept in with the passing which was worrying. Lindsay had a decent game overall I thought but that was when he was doing simple stuff. When he thought he was a footballer he tended to screw his passing up. But hopefully the manager saw that and tells them to go out and do what they did do well. Which was simple football, get around the striker and press like fuck.

Christ it was a shit game between two awful sides. Not much to be bragging over. Thank God they gifted us three goals. Surely we created 3 goals? 1 - Good pressure, forced them into a mistake. 2 - Good ball down the line, good cross, 3 men in the box (for once). 3 - Again good pressure, good runs to give Allen space, good finish.
What is your take on them?

The pressure caused their mistakes of course but there was simple ways out of it that they chose not to do. They decided to carry on fucking around with it which imo is absolutely stupid. And it took us so long to cotton on to this which annoyed me because after the first two minutes I said we needed to sit on their #17 and they’d be screwed and that’s what we did in the end. Again it was good to see they reacted to the crowd bollocking them but why it needed that to get them to see that Luton were an absolute clusterfuck is anyone’s guess.

I feel a touch more positive about surviving after last night. Clearly both Barnsley and Luton, who were absolutely shocking don't have anywhere near enough to stay up and they will surely finish below us. Not sue who else is worse than us though maybe Wigan. The upcoming games against Reading and Middlesboro will perhaps tell us more.
