a few people on here were on about tartan bearer a few weeks ago . and it won the race it was in and they said back it quickly for the derby as the price will go down . from about 12-1 to now about 5-1 . i might put a couple of quid on it . put a search on here to see if you can find the thread .

I've got a few quid on Tartan Bearer. Put my bet on a while back at 14-1, I think it's one of the favorites now. Tajaaweed and Frozen Fire might be worth a couple of quid each way. I have been known to talk bollocks before, so don't pay to much attention to my tips.

KANDAHAR RUN for me..........
casual conquest"s odds are too cramped for an inexperienced horse, you need tons of experience for the derby.

Personally I think Tartan Bearer is the one to be on.
I dont think Casual Conquest has beat alot in its two starts. New Approach won't get the trip. Ballydoyle and Aidan O'Brien don't seem to have a strong team out (gutted Henrythenavigator isn't running), so i'm sticking with Tartan Bearer. Ryan Moore has chosen it over Doctor Fremantle which he won on last time

Kandahar Run is a good E/W bet.Henry Cecil knows what it needs to win a Derby, and though KR isn't top class he could run into a place. Frozen Fire was only beaten a head in the Dante,on his first run of the season so could be expected to improve against the horse that beat him-Tartan Bearer.Though FF isn't O'Briens first choice! New Approach is the class horse in the race after 2nd in 2 Guineas, though the Derby appears to be afterthought. My advice, steer clear. Just because it's the Derby doesn't mean you have to bet!

Did I say he would? I said he was the class horse in the race;but how many times have they been beaten? Don't think Henrythenavigator would have won either, unless it came up firm, which only a few horse's let themselves down on. Like I said steer clear.
