Didn't see that one coming. It will be fascinating to see how he gets on. Bit of a left field appointment for them as usually they go foreign. Maybe they have one eye on next season in the Championship A few on here were calling for Pearson. IMHO I think he will be a bit of a disaster....we shall see

Shakespeare in as his No.2 too.
He's certainly struggled without him, but he seemed integral to the Leicester success.
I'm happy with MON - but I thought that combo was an attractive option for us, given the dearth of other realistic options.
I'm a bit surprised Watford have gone down that path, but think they'll do okay.

Be really interesting to watch this one. Obviously a good manager but seems to have a short fuse which we could see often as the pressure and reality of relegation draws closer. I wanted him at Stoke to replace Pulis but was happy when we chose Sparky.

We have a big problem in that we have a massive poor squad and we we can’t get rid of anybody to enable us to bring players in. He is possibly the one man who could have got the players we don’t want, to request a move, and maybe even take a pay cut to do it. Don’t think he takes any messing!

According to the press it's until the summer, when they will look for their long term Manager.

I was a straight, no frills, Pearson man for the Stoke job before Lambert, Rowett, Jones and McNeil.

I was a straight, no frills, Pearson man for the Stoke job before Lambert, Rowett, Jones and McNeil. Pearson may not have been available at those times. He took a couple of years out of football (in between Leicester & Derby, and then the job in Belgium) for a mixture of personal reasons and wanting to pursue other interests. For example, he did an History Degree. Neither of his last 2 managerial jobs have gone well.
