And yet the God bothering Taffy chancer would't even give him a shirt number. This is what I don’t get his attitude always appears unquestionable. Did they have a fallout? I guess we'll never know unless Mame spills the beans after hanging up his boots. Colossians 3:13 "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."

Ignoring whether he is good bad or indifferent as a player, he is clearly very popular with players and every member of staff. He was mobbed by his teammates, every member of staff hugged him including stewards and security staff.
Ostracising a player who is clearly popular throughout the club and is no problem to anyone is symptomatic of the muddled thinking that has been going on at the club for far too long.

He’s always been a good finisher as long as he doesn’t have to think about it. Yup, a great instinctive striker, right time right place player. Give him time in the ball to think and he’s fucked, but what a dick Jones looks for banishing him, I’ve always thought he’d be quality at this level, his pace will scare defences to death.

We all know Mame's limitations, but the runs he was making, which he's always made, were the sign of an instinctive striker. He was looking for the Vokes flick on every time.
He'll always get goals simply through his knack of being where every proper striker knows he should be.

What I’ve always liked in him is that he just keeps going and doesn’t hide - if he misses couple of chances he’ll still be there to bury the third. A good example was Chelsea away 3 or 4 years ago. Plus he smiles all the time.

Sounds silly but that moment made me the happiest I've been as a Stokie in quite some time.
Welcome back Mame, we missed you!

I always wondered why he'd been frozen out for so long. He is the only one of our strikers who has any pace, he has power and aerial ability and a knack of being in the right place to get chances. His first touch is poor and his finishing is too but in the Championship those things are less important and he appears to have all the natural attributes to be a success at this level. I always assumed it must have been his attitude behind the scenes, maybe he was sulking and thinking he should be playing at a higher level and being billy big bollocks etc. But the way he celebrated suggests that he's delighted to be back on the pitch and getting goals again and so are his team mates which seems to rule out that theory. Seems like another fuck up in the never ending list of fuck ups to pin on that incompetent charlatan Jones. What an absolute nightmare Jones was. He simply has to be our worst ever manager in terms of sheer, utter incompetence. Even worse than Ball, Kamara, Little and Bates in my opinion. MON said in his post match interview that Mame is a player who comes into training with a big smile on his face.

OK. I’ll admit it. I thought he was a spent force both physically and mentally and would drift away from football soon. I am SOOOO glad to have been proved wrong. Welcome back, Mame!

He just made him train with the U-18s. Then Jones was named and he promised everybody would get the same chance. He gave Mame half a chance and that was it. Then in the summer he was listed with the bomb squad, which was so wrong for a player who has given so much for the club, not everything was great, but he always, always gave it his best shot. I'm happy for Mame that he didn't just become another hard case but actually stuck it out, even if several months of not training with pros obviously leaves us with a player who can only last 10 minutes at the moment. He had a bit of an impact vs Barnsley and quite an impact today. Give him another 10 vs Cardiff and then 30 at the weekend. He could still be our secret weapon in December and hopefully be up to full fitness by the time the Christmas games roll around.

I agree except, 'quite an impact', he won us the match right at the death. Not really possible to have much of a bigger impact really.

Did he have anything specific against him or was he simply obeying instructions given to him by his God?

Kin’ell what do expect, he’s on 30k a week for being wank, if I was as bad as him and someone was daft enough to pay me that much I’d be coming into training with a big smile on my face.

When I knew Diouf was staying on relegation I thought he would get 15-20 goals season in this league if fit Can't understand why Rowett and Jones froze him out unless trying to get off the wage bill - he was at least equal to anyone we brought in You're right about Jones: worst manager in living memory

Clearly so, Phil Greig and Jonty both bigging him up on social media. He seems to be liked by everyone around the club which makes his treatment bizarre. Unlike Bruno and Badou when he didn’t leave he was still frozen out
