£17,500 (in effect) for not turning up for each of the games they missed. (Brentford and Doncaster)
So if a club has a few key injuries for an important game, that seems like a very decent investment. No wonder the EFL are appealing, that sets a dangerous precedent surely?

I thought it had more to do with the Youth players aren't allowed to play as regularly at that level and it was more a case of protecting them than point blank refusing to play? I could be wrong though.

Interesting that the EFL are appealing against the decision taken by an independent tribunal set up by...the EFL My sympathy lies with Bolton in this (as it did with Bury). EFL rules are so lax you could run the proverbial horse and cart through them...then they bleat when someone does... If ever an organisation was not "fit for purpose"
