Absolute glory days. I’ve got a feeling mon will renew some physicality and steel in this current side. Come on Stoke.

Happy days indeed. It was so entertaining watching him trying to zip up that sleeping bag thing, with leg oles, that he wore.

The 3-1 victory in May 2011 (the week before the Cup Final) was, for me, the single best performance of a Pulis Stoke team, and the crowd goaded Wenger like they'd never goaded anyone before.
If ever there was a moment where a team and its supporters were in perfect sync with each other then this was it.
Wilko vanishing quietly out of view after sending the loathsome Wilshere up in the air was a notable highlight.
Brilliant stuff.

We’d come over from Oz for my little sister’s wedding. Also went to the Cup Final with my son. However, we took my FIL & BIL who are Citeh fans & were sitting in the corporate seats at the Citeh end. Not a great day, but the Arsenal win was superb

For me it was the Man City game (forget which season) at home after the sending off for a tackle on Wright-Phillips. Jeers for the entire match every time they had the ball, celebrations like we’d scored when we touched it for a second....then we did.

All wins against this slag of a club are great wins, for me it was never the shit or anyone else who I hate like the arse and one of the good things about us playing them in our recent history is that we have a new generation of fans that hate them. Remember in the late 70s when they opened the gates in the bottom of the boothen with a few mins to go and some of their boys came into the bottom corner it did not go well for them and some of them boys ran like mr Bolt

Interfering" is open to interpretation but iirc our interfering player wasn't actually in an offside position

I missed that one as I was supping mulled wine in a hut in Birmingham at the time.

If my memory serves correctly Arsens last visit to Stoke was when he would not venture out of the dugout because of the unified PISS TAKING that the entire crowd were giving him.
All around the ground including the Q railing were doing the “Wenger”. Amazing atmosphere that I would love to see again. 😁

Fucking gooners. Hate them. The most despised of any team to come to our place. Followed by the fucking gooner wannabees Bournemouth.

Wondered at one point if Bouldy was only there cos he could work the zip. He never seemed to do or say anything else.

We'd had a great run and buried them a week before the final, when anything was still possible. The peak of the whole prem journey.

And we did it without Etherington, Higginbotham and Fuller, and lost Huth during the match as well.

For all of the stuff Wenger used to say about us, there was only one player out to cripple an opponent that day ahead of the cup final and it was Jack Wilshere. He didn't have much to say about Fabregas's scissor tackle for no reason on Danny Pugh either.

I've always assumed he was trying to get one or more of our players sent off and suspended for the final. Luckily for once we got a ref, Mark Halsey, who wasn't falling for it. Twatkinson would have filled his boots.

During that 3-1 game Mick McCarthy was in the stand and the next day he said he loved the one nil to the rugby team chant but to follow it with Swing Low was pure class. Top man.

All in a distant past , long long very long time ago 😎 It would have looked a distant almost impossible hope to have days like that, only a fairly short time before we were actually doing it. Things change. We've got to hope that they'll do so again. At least we now know it can be done.

Move on people. What's your email address so everybody can send comments to you for approval before posting them? Hilarious. But it's an opinion rightly or wrongly that it is boring. Is Francis selling a book or something? He'd do better sorting out his ridiculous barnet These days are long gone , yes they are great memories but too many of our support hanker for ' those days ' . In the real world they are long gone. Also i don't think any game now v Arsenal whether it is Emery or whoever will hold the same intensity. No Wenger, No Ramsay .
