The chances of anything coming from Beebs is a million to one he said.
More period drama soap opera with a wotw backdrop only.
How sad.

Watched it with the kids and enjoyed it as older family viewing. That's where I set my expectations and it hit that benchmark.

I watched the second episode last night and it's just really dull and disappointing. Some reviews in the media say it's "greatly improved" since the first episode but I don't agree.
I'm not sure if I will watch the third and final (thank goodness) episode but I'm glad it's not a six or eight part series.

A bridge too far for the BBC maybe - they can't compete with the big boys on special effects.
But their standard drama is still top notch. "The Capture" for example, was superb. Hope they make another series.

Rumour has it that the BBC are already planning the re-make of Plan 9 from outer space. Chief executives were seen at Car Transplants in Nantwich over the weekend.

I'm retracting what I said earlier in this thread. I've just finished watching the third episode, and it's turgid dross. The kids enjoyed it though.

I've just watched the new fox version I thought the BBC one was boring but my god it's a lot more exciting watching that than the new fox one, what a load of crap it was
