This is not too say we’d be in a different position if these two were playing, but let’s be honest, we have zero creativity and no pace.

Neither player would be able to lift Stoke at present.
If they had been integrated into the team Jones appeared to be wanting to be building - but never did - it might have been a different story. But Jones' infatuation with McClean and Ince meant he never really gave the above a chance, like play them in consecutive games over 90 mins.
I don't know a player that can help us at present. I know the absence of Shawcross has made some fonder of him, but he's been in decline for several years and would only be slightly better than Lindsay or Batth.

Shawcross was receiving absolute pellets on here the start of last season. Literally ripping the guy to pieces

I don't know about improving but Bojan's attitude is on a different level to that side (Most of it)

Come on then smart arse, explain why you think a suggestion that two creative players, one with pace would be pointless

Nath's first mistake was not playing Bojan last season.
Nath's other major mistake was shipping out Verlinden this s4ason after promising cameos.
We absolutely would not be in the position we're in now, if we had genuinely creative players on the pitch (not saying we'd be top, but we wouldn't be bottom)
We paid Bojan off so we could get Powell in on a more expensive contract. Well that's worked!!
Duffy is meh, unnecessary, pointless.
Ince, the less said the better
Allen, not a number 10.
We had everything at our disposal yet we fucked it up.

I spend way too much time on this board and have never seen Shawcross get 'absolute pellets' or get ripped to pieces. What I have seen are posters questioning his:- Form since injury Form since rule change to grappling Form since the ring of steel has been disbanded (Huth, 2xCBs as fullbacks, 4xDefensive Midfielders) or as it was known Pulisball. His captaincy after relegation. All quite reasonable concerns with a player who is highly respected by the majority of those harbouring doubts to his continuing effectiveness.
