Evening to you both, another week in the soap opera that is Stoke City football club. The correct decision was made to sack Jones but at least a month too late for me and it results in the new manager having a harder task to keep us up. Who’s next though is the question? As I’m writing this it looks like the Alex Neil link is dead in the water so it’s onto Plan B if there is one. Nixon seems to think it’s managers that are in work we’re after so the likes of McCarthy,O’Neill(Michael),Cook and Ainsworth could be the ones we’re interested in now

Find it unbelievable if we waited so long to sack Nathan , but not have anybody lined up. Are they that naive? Or just incompetent. It's not like we are in peril of going down or anything,

Good afternoon from the heartland of America
Looking forward to a lively show.
After two good performances against Fulham and Swansea, we all held on to the hope we had seen a light at the end of the tunnel. It turned out to be the headlight of the proverbial on-coming train. I am skeptical by nature (I was born in Stoke so it must be something in the water), and I have very little confidence that changing the manager will make any difference. After all, since Hughes each new manager was less experienced than the previous one and there were no new manager bounces. Lambert was a stop gap, but Rowett and Jones were up and coming managers that seemed to have fresh ideas and youthful enthusiasm. Short spells at Stoke have lined their pockets but set back their careers significantly. As the management guru, Edwards Deming rightly stated “15% of business failures are caused by the work force and 85% by systems introduced by management with unintended consequences”. Stoke City FC exemplifies this principle. We have arguably the best squad in the league so the problem lies elsewhere. I include the coaching staff and the manager in the workforce because they implement the strategy of the board, within the limits of the budget. The board needs to take a good hard look at themselves and say “we are the problem and something has to change”.
PS; Angela: where are those knickers you promised me? I have been anxiously checking the mail everyday in case the missus gets to it first - that will take some explaining.

How long before Russ mentions 'our Tone'? My bet is 7 mins 32 seconds

How long before Russ mentions 'our Tone'? My bet is 7 mins 32 seconds If it's anything like P&G on Friday they'll find a way of working it into the introduction. Think it was the most cringeworthy I've ever heard on the show.

As I've been unable to watch any of the podcasts since the Swansea game (yes I know, probably for the better), can this be sorted please? Cheers!

Evening guys, hope you’re both well.. I actually missed this show last week I felt lost out of my routine on a Sunday evening.
Anyway, gutted for jones and I hope the players are ashamed. I hope we let the players know what we think about them on Monday because they get away with murder down here. I’m not saying it should resort to violence but we just sit there moaning amongst ourselves. This would never of happened years ago!
I can’t believe we’ve got rid of jones without someone lined up to take over straight away, like with them waiting until Friday to do it I thought they’d taken the week negotiating with a new manager but they haven’t as far as we know otherwise he’d be on back of the sentinel now holding a stoke shirt/scarf. It’s so typical of stoke..
If they have a new man lined up but he doesn’t want be announced because he doesn’t want take the West Brom defeat on his record then personally I don’t want someone like that. We need someone strong and brave now come in and put a few players in their place.
As much as I don’t like them I’d take Martin o niel and Roy Keane, id like see Hollywood Butland or Tom ince for example come strolling down the tunnel after another defeat and poor performance and individual errors to be met with an angry Roy Keane at the dressing room door. It seems like that is what this bunch of players need.
I’ve said this for a few weeks now but bar Gregory, there isn’t one single player I like not just what they do on the pitch but as men. Their attitudes stink! They are like a group of spoilt little twats and it really irritates me.
Anyway, rant over and sorry for long post.
Rory Delaps red and white army!

The least risk option is to appoint Mr Pulis who has a proven record of rescuing teams from relegation. We need to protect against relegation so to me it's a no brainer, particularly as Pulis is out of work currently.

Hi folks, So pleased that you have managed to do a show for us tonight, thanks
I have never wanted TP back at my football club as his last 2 years were so dire and so negative, However I have have no confidence or faith in any new appointment as we have had a disasterous few years with manager appointments, Therefore I now believe that we could at least trust TP to deal with any egos or rot in our club , Give him until the end of the season with Rory as number 2 and then both parties could sit down and see where we go from there on for the next season, any thoughts??

Hi both, i dont think weve got any chance of staying up. I cant see anything changing. The players arent good enough and dont have any fight in them.
