Would you stay away or back a movement to show your discontent?
With the board seemingly sleepwalking into another relegation what options do we have?

With the amount of empty seats already at the games it would be tough to show that a boycott is taking place...
Anyway Scholes will still announce 20,000 + attendance no matter how many are taking part in the boycott t!

Make no difference to us season ticket holders. They've had the match day revenue of us, apart from takings at the bar.

We have billionaire owners they won't miss a few quid from the gates, the trouble we have is that the club is in a lot of debt, that debt is to the current owners so even if they wanted to sell they'd have to take a big hit.
They might do that if they've had enough but at the moment there's nothing to suggest that so we are stuck in limbo in my opinion.

I do not think they would notice lets face it they have not really seen the dire position we now find ourselves in.

No. In any case, a stadium full of dissatisfied customers is far more effective.

West Brom at home on a monday night will give us a idea of what a full away end and loss of home support looks like.

No, what difference would it make?
They sack jones, then what? We bring in a fat old bloke who takes us down anyway and nothing changes at the top.

How embarrassing it would be, if you all sat and watched on the tele or in a club, leaving the stadium fairly empty, in front of the TV cameras?

No need to try and ‘organise’ any such thing. If nothing has changed between now and then the West Brom game will clearly show the publics feelings - there will acres of empty seats and a packed away end. The little resurgence followed by the last 2 performances will surely have convinced everyone that there is no light at the end of this tunnel.

I think a lot have already lost heart by the sounds of it. When we lose our next home game I think there will be even more resignation and with that will be a big drop in attendance anyway.
Not saying it is right to desert your team in their hour of need - it is just human nature and will happen

Not a boycott as such....just decided to find better things to do with my weekends and cash in general, so I stopped renewing my season card.
Been threatening to on and off since TP’s final season then bailed on Hughes final season
Felt wrong at the time but, my gripe has always been more with the people at the top, so glad I get to enjoy my weekends with my wife and monitor our games from a safe distance

Doubt anyone will organise it and if something was arranged I doubt it would lead to any change on the pitch.

Can I just add, that I deeply resent what they've done to this club. I know there's been poor times in the past, but this seems worse than ever! I use the word again, shambles!

To be fair when I watch the highlights afterwards the ground looks damn empty already The Family stand looks deserted as does most of the lower seats around the ground I am not sure it is people boycotting, more finding something more enjoyable to do with their time

I don't need too...... My next three home games have all fallen when I'm on afternoon shift, so I suppose I'll be doing my own little boycott, because at one time, I would have bent over backwards to have tried to get off.... Either swapping shifts, using up a holiday or once or twice even throwing a sickie.......but I ain't gonna do that now!!!

No.
We have well meaning owners and a hard working manager who just so happen to be struggling to get it right at the moment.
We’re not being run into the ground or having our assets stripped, we’re just pretty shit for a number of reasons.
Good times and bad, that’s what being a supporter is isn’t it? Stay away if you feel you can’t part with your cash, make your feelings known at the ground if you need to. But what are you actually hoping to achieve by boycotting?

I would back a boycott of Bet 365. Its a thought but with their world wide market they wouldn't miss a few stokies betting on their platform. And anyway it would be counter effective to try and make them poorer (in a relative sense of course )

Ive been boycotting them since they got relegated and left certain people still earning a very cushy living at the club
with no visible accountability
they still are
when that changes I'll probably start taking matches in, here and there again.

It’s twats like you that really piss me off. I gave up my season ticket at the end of last season, as nothing had changed. Scholes was still there being backed up by our clueless owners. People are so fed up and let down by the club, yet come out with crap like good times and bad. I’d totally agree with you except it’s caused by the ownership being incompetent and refusing to learn from past mistakes. buying a season ticket because you always have is mental. It lines their pockets and you still watch shit week in week out. Nowhere els would you pay hundreds for something you know will be utter shit. its not boycotting fans we need. It’s fools realising and not buying a season ticket in the first place.

You are right in the sense that nowhere else would you spend your money if the product is shit. But football fans live in hope and dream of bigger and better things and pay their money in the hope they get to witness such. Highs and lows good times and bad, its football. And a bit harsh calling him a twat but I guess you are as frustrated as the rest of the Stoke fans.

I've watched some shite in my time, but this lot take the biscuit. I understand there will be die hard support, who will continue come what may, and fair play to them. Bet365 will continue come what may as well. I think that a boycott, especially at a televised game would hurt, as the TV commentators IMHO would draw attention to it. People who go must have a strong constitution to endure the tripe being served up. I never thought I'd see the day, when blokes like McClean and Ince would play for us, amongst some of the other no marks in the squad. Fast attacking football my arse!
