Scholes is employed by the Coates family the buck stops at the very top & thats were most peoples anger should be aimed. Coates employed Lambert. Coates employed Rowett. Coates employed Jones. Coates employed Ball. Coates employed Kamara. Coates is the only chairman in our history to see us in the third tier. Seems adamant on making it a third. He also oversaw us getting back to the top flight after 20 odd years, oversaw us getting to our only FA Cup Final in 150 years, he oversaw a good run in Europe and three top half finishes. He oversaw the recruitment of some fantastic footballers But, let’s forget all that and fuck him off just because Nathan Jones is a complete wanker

I never enjoyed a season more than that one in Europe. And the FA Cup semi, absolutely brilliant. But it's gone wrong. He's fucked up massively. Do you think he's blameless? Or is it all down to Jones (who he recruited)

What I meant to say was he's the only one to do it twice. And is now looking like making a hattrick. My fuck up sounded better.

He’s the head honcho so he has to take some blame But some of the abuse he gets on here is shameful and people need to think long and hard where this club would be today without Peter Coates. All this talk of Chinese billionaires is pie in the sky

I think wading through the flooded roads around Stone was a far less trying way to spend this afternoon!

Really, would anyone pay attention to em in real situation like the pub or the Aldi? I digress. I'm not saying he's not done good. Far from it. But he's doing very bad right now. And he's taking us back to where he left us.

I certainly stop myself from directing anything toward Peter Coates. He needs to get rid of Scholes though and give JC a job somewhere else in the club.

I cant see him going any tine soon. He virtually runs the club financially and without him the Coates would be up shit creek.

I'm getting major deja vu here. For those defending this numpty let me ask you this. In what other walk of life, what business presided Over with such disasterous results, to such a series of catastrophic outcomes, irrespective of what went before, would the CEO still be in post ?- The answer by the way is: none.

And that's why, much as I think he's hopeless, we will survive. Albeit in the third division.

I don't actually know what his responsibilities are. I do agree that a CE of a club that has overseen a fuck up on these proportions should be out on his ear. He should not get the stick for that though. Those who have failed, time and again, to dispense with him should.

It really depends on precisely how our recruitment process is supposed to work.
Whoever is responsible for signing Tommy Smith and Stephen Ward, whether that is Jones or Scholes, they need to go. That is a sackable offence in itself.
We are playing a system that is entirely reliant on attacking fullbacks for the width. We started the season with Stephen Ward as our only left back. Edwards has been piss poor this season but we spent £4 million on that Smith twat yet he is so bad we are forced to play another centre back at right back. Whoever engineered that situation needs prosecuting for crimes against football.

Probably the most ridiculous post of the night, explain who is going to replace the Coates family. Playing devils advocate he might be suggesting they need telling off for not sacking Scholes. Not necessarily replace the Coates. That would be silly in my view.
