We've seen what a difference N'Diaye has made to not only the midfield and the diamond but the entire team.
Who replaces him in January?

Judging by his reaction/celebration with Jones when Gregory’s penalty went in I have doubts he’ll be going anywhere(fingers crossed)

Seriously though, unless someone comes along with an unbelievable offer, we don't need to sell until the summer.... If both N'diaye and Etebo carry on playing the way they are, they're gonna get a lot of attention, more so IN the summer!!!

Think that depends on where we are in ten games time and who is in trouble in the premier league who didn’t expect to be , my bet is he will see this season. Out with us , Am a little concerned about how we cope with the inevitable suspension

Badou keeps celebrating directly with the manager. Badou giving it the big one to the crowd early in the game. Badou after we hadn't touched the ball in the first 3 or so minutes deciding to run around like a man possessed to get hold of the ball. Summats going on.

I imagine Jones will have told him "give us your best until January." Then when January comes he'll hope he stays. Who's willing to do a Championship predictor to see where we'll be at Christmas if we can average 2+ points a game? Is there even a chance we could be in the playoffs by then? www.worldfootball.net/table_calculator/eng-championship/

We've seen what a difference N'Diaye has made to not only the midfield and the diamond but the entire team. Who replaces him in January? Good question. Obviously hoping he sees the season out, we get 15m at the end of it as part of raising funds, and can get a proper replacement, like Ben Pearson. Second hope is that if he does go, we have a well established system by then, so losing one player from it will be easier to manage. We know what to look for. We know what they need to do. Pelly Ruddock perhaps. Fear is that we already have about 6 too many players - inc Woods & Cousins - so it ends up being one of them or a converted defender.

We are 8pts after 12 - so exactly half way there. You are asking about getting 24pts in the next 12 - so that would be 32pts by game #24, which will be about then. Last year, Bristol City and Swansea both had 32pts after game #24, and were 12th and 13th respectively. So expect we'd be about there if we achieved that, middle or just below. (Don't forgot that over the last 10 seasons, the team that were bottom after 6 games have never finished above 18th, so its a very big ask!).

Though I don’t imagine the team in last after six games was ever so technically good on paper. I know wins are wins and that, but I thought it was only a matter of time before things started clicking. Maybe we’ll qualify for plays offs. Maybe not. But we won’t be relegated. And we will finish higher than 18th.

Fair play to him if he keeps performing like he is. The reasons he turned them down are almost irrelevant. He had a chance to leave and he didn't which suggests he wont just leave for the sake of leaving, which is what almost all on here accused him of. We dont have a single player in our ranks outside of Ryan that loves our club. That's why we are so shit.

He won’t leave for the sake of leaving, he’ll leave if a decent move comes along for him, and that’s a distinct possibility. The majority of players at the majority of clubs are going to go if a better offer comes along. When you’re the best player for a team in the mire, that’s particularly pertinent.

All I'm saying is we need contingency plans else we are back with Cousins and Woods in front of the back four.
It's going to be hard to replace him when he does go given our budget now and where we are but we absolutely must bring in someone who is mobile, strong in the tackle and can play a bit - everything Woods and Cousins have proven they're not.
I would hope the club are on top of this (no laughing at the back) and hope that the new recruitment man is looking at viable and on budget replacements just incase.
I think there is a greater than 50 percent chance he will go at present. Bottom end PL clubs will be all over him like a rash.

If he goes in January it HAS to be a sale so that we can invest the money in Ben Pearson.
If we are still on an upward trajectory come early January and continue it during January I think he may stay until the end of the season then be sold in the Summer.
If he wants to get into a Champions League type of team he needs to prove himself until May.
By January the Champions League will be in the knockout stages so generally speaking it will only be the big boys left in it - ie hardly likely to be interested in a player from the Championship.

Given Monaco and others were in the mix at that time presumably those were factors as well? I’d wager if Sheff Utd came back in January they’d get a different answer. That’s no criticism of him, it’s just the way things are.
