No coincidence that he’s looked better since Badou came in. Badou’s presence acts as a safety net for his worst excesses.

I was wrong to say he shouldn't have come back into the team and im glad I was. Not afraid to admit it (unlike some people)

Been superb lately, I’m delighted to say, having given him a lot of stick in the past. What a superb midfield we have!

Disagree with this. He isn’t a defensive midfielder but he does well in that more forward position, when his positioning is less important and his harrying is more effective.

Not afraid to admit it (unlike some people) I find it one of life's great mysteries how some people are reluctant to put their hands up and say "I got it wrong" Every fecker gets stuff wrong all the bleedin time so where is the big issue in just admitting to getting something wrong every now and again. Its actually very therapeutic I find. Fair play to you.

No coincidence that he’s looked better since Badou came in. Badou’s presence acts as a safety net for his worst excesses. And he’s been fucked off out of the way where him going missing won’t harm us as much. I thought he was fine today. Lots of harassing which was good.

SGS I was never one for properly getting rid of jones, although after the Huddersfield game it did feel like the right thing to do. Whilst I think we should keep him on, he’s surely not out of the woods yet with just two wins in a row? We could quite easily lose the next 3. Huge games.

The poorest of the 4 midfielders that started today, is the reason he's shunted out to the AM position. Once we are more confident as a team you could see him being benched for the likes of Powell or Duffy.
That, or we lose Etebo/Badou and then have to play him in one of those two spots 😭😭

He’s out of the way and it allows his deficiencies to be less of an issue.

No. Because it’s a waste of an attacking player really. He’s out of the way and it allows his deficiencies to be less of an issue. I can understand the first part, and would much rather see Powell or Duffy there myself, but he’s been excellent in both our wins so to drop him right now would be unbelievably harsh.

His workrate and harrying is useful in that position but I would prefer to see Duffy in that position.
Our defence looks so more solid without him playing deep.
I rate the lad but today showed why he doesnt fit in with our team. Not defensively sound and not creative enough to play up top

He needs to start scoring, he's wasting too many chances, his last two games have been better especially Swansea but your attacking mid needs to contribute on the score sheet.

He was good at pressing, and that's useful against better teams like Fulham.
That said, his quality on the ball is far too poor for this level. He wasted a few attacks today because of exactly that.
I'd rather see Duffy personally, but understand why he's used in games like today's and Swansea.

His performances here have always been better when he's only had to do 1 job. Going missing, he's to eager and runs for everything when he's better staying put and keeping shape, I think that's why his current position is helping him, he can run after everything and he's not leaving a massive hole in front of the defence.
