So are we just restricting ourselves the lumps and Campbell up front, seems very restrictive, I know Gregory is a bit gash but at least he's a different option.

MON is clearly going for a target man/speedier type partnership in attack. Think it'll be Vokes or Fletcher then Afobe or Campbell next to them.If he plays one up top, Campbell or Afobe will probably end up out wide. Gregory is alright if you're winning the game and want someone to come on and press the defence. Otherwise I can't see much use for him going forwards. If we're thinking Afobe out wide again for any game we may as well not bother.

Doesn't mention a fee or loan etc although I won an I Phone and there are Chinese ladies in my area dying to meet me Double result Excellent result. Were you also able to sign a poll in favour of the Navy opening fire on migrants crossing the Channel on lilos? And can you confirm that our track and trace strategy is world class? I am TEMPTED to ask whether Princess DIANA was the VICTIM of a contract put OUT by the ROYAL Family. But I THINK that may by Express TERRITORY. Anyone who crosses the Channel on a lilo deserves a prize Hermes lost my parcel so track and trace is crap I think a pissed up dude driving at 80 plus mph may not have helped

It’s possible that both Gregory and Vokes will go now that Fletcher has arrived.

Fletcher is too similar with vokes for me. Get rid of vokes and keep gregory. Fletcher is more similar to Gregory in fairness. High work rate, puts himself about the pitch. The main difference is Fletcher actually knows how to score. Not a chance.

Ultimately i'm not bothered who and what gets sold, however, if we're getting rid of Gregory and keeping the likes of Vokes then it all seems a bit pointless to me? Neither player screams goals but one screams workrate and movement, which we saw at the back end of last season was priceless in quite a few of the tight games.
He isn't going to be a player that will haunt us in the usual sense if he moves on, but it might hurt us in terms of what we lose from our first team squad.
If we end up losing him and gaining one or more pacey wide-ish forwards then I could live with that.

More energy in him than vokes but shit gs ratio, granted he has not had the game time. More inclined to ship vokes out but he does get those goals ya need on occasions. Hoping fletcher will convert the opportunities and also help tyrese improve his game

Fletcher is a Vokes option. He can start games, play 60 and come off or come on after a similar period if it's not working with Vokes. He's the same age as Messi, so what's the problem?

It's a shame that's where the comparison ends otherwise we'd be absolutely sorted. Current holder of the Ballon d'Or sacks off Sheffield Wednesday to join Stoke to score 30+ goals a season and last 90 minutes most games.

Yep, if you want any variety in your attack you keep Gregory. Vokes, Fletcher, Afobe and Campbell all have different styles, surely that’s enough. Gregory runs around but isn’t good in the air, can’t finish and isn’t super quick. Move him in and get a wide player in for extra variety

Different players but both more effective than Gregory hence why both have played in the Premier League and Gregory has got nowhere near

Vokes has a 1 goal in 6 record for Stoke in the League. For £9M it's an absolute travesty. He's been an absolutely disastrous piece of business. Right up there in the Wimmer orbit.

Can't see him getting a gig as good as that. He'll probably end up at Luton on loan with us subsidising half his wages.

Bit harsh Sheikh, though I do agree he should have done better with the time he's had on the pitch. I wouldn't put him on par with Wimmer however. He was half the price, has actually played games this season, and scored some important goals. I do agree with what you're saying about Fletcher though. A very good Championship striker for half the price.

I would suggest it’s more likely to be an FFP linked economic decision. We’re unlikely to get a fee for either Gregory or Vokes. But as we paid nothing for him Gregory is the one we can afford to let go on a free without incurring a loss which would show against FFP. Unless Vokes becomes another of our expensive Loan Ranger’s.
