but I for one never in a million years would TP get us up, but he did! but staying up i am not sure he is the man for the job.I think we need at least 10 new signings of quality not only as starters but also to give us depth.People have been talking about Dicko and Wilko being ok in the Prem and Griffin but i dont think these guys are anywhere near good enough, From the little I have seen of Whelan dont think he is either.Fuller, Lawro,Delap and Shawcross Maybe!
So in my humble opinion it is going to be veryvery difficult to stay up.
But as I said didnt think he would ever get us up..........so what do I know. Either way 2009/2010 will be my 36th season as a fan...

Too hard to say at the moment, Don't know what players are coming in. I would like to think we could stay up, with a few good signings and a good team spirit with some fight you never know

It all depends on the players we get in. We have to aim for 4th from bottom and anything else is a bonus. So I'll have to say doubtful, but then again I thought TP would never get us promoted so who knows?

Big Jobby,...I agree with you about Griffin, and Whelan.
I could also add Parkin,Sidibe,Cresswell,Diao to that list if I was to be really ruthless.
The one thing for sure is that we need to hit the ground running at the start of the season, as the task ahead is a massive one. .Any pissing about at the start of the season...and we're knackered...a dead duck.!

As it stands we would probably have a similar season to Derby. At the start of the season though... who knows.. can't say the transfer rumours have encouraged me. Let's face it, it's a stupid league that needs major reform.

I think probably not, but I don't think we'll disgrace ourselves either.

If you look at the way we struggled last season without Liam and Ricky, then heaven help us next season
We need to seriously fortify the team with about 5/6 new signings
Problem is that we will struggle to attract any quality players, unless we pay them massive wages..like Middlesborough had to do
Other option is to do a "Portsmouth" and take knackers-yard players and get the best out of them for a season, before putting them down
Either way it's going to be a battle and every game at home needs to be treated like a Cup-tie, and we should not start moaning and hanging our heads after a few defeats, because that will transfer to the players and seal our fate
Staying-up is our only objective and everyone has to do there bit for the team

I'm sure no one expects us to run away with the Premiership, at the same time, I feel confident that we'll stay up, and have placed a £50 bet, at 4-1, that we will, 14th place or better.

yes I'm confident that signings are on the way that coupled with a great seige mentality will see us though but Im sure it will to the last game.

all in all, think we will stay up

It depends so much on the new signings, And ofcourse if we want results we must create intense atmosphere at home and away to inspire the players, I reckon we will survive by 10 points, Hull, West Brom and Fulham to be relegated!

I am quite confident that we will stay up. I think we will surprise quite a few people this coming season.

I am more confident in Pulis' ability to keep us up next season than I ever was in his ability to get us up in the first place - and I think that probably goes for a fair few supporters!
It will be very difficult but if Pulis can get the players he wants in (big if!) then I think that "doing a Sunderland" is not beyond us.

I think if we sign a couple of class players who are willing to work hard for the team then we will stay up. Stoke have something the Derby’s of the world don’t and thats pride, when the going gets tough etc... we will grind some results out that’s for sure. Its not going to be easy, we will be fighting for our lives at times, but with the right players we will do it. TP seems to set his teams out for tight matches and he won’t change the style of play too much for the Prem, why change a winning formula? I think we will play similar to Bolton and they’re still there aren’t they?

No Pulis side has ever been relegated. Small friendly tip from a Vale fan, do not keep crowing about that fact. When Brian Horton joined the Vale it was all he kept saying, that he'd never been relegated in all his managerial career. First full season, he got Vale relegated with a points tally even worse than last seasons! If you keep saying Pulis has never been relegated, chances are it will happen!
