You would think so watching today
My only concern is there are no goals in them, and our strikers are poor.
You are not going to get more than half a dozen goals out of Allen, Badou and Etebo combined. That's a big problem and puts alot of pressure on to others to score goals.
With this midfield you need a couple of big goalscorers in the team. Cant see who they could be tbh.
Let's hope Hogan hits a rich vein of form. Seems like he's the only one capable. Gregory's finishing is shocking.

Our issue is we half need January to build a better defence and attack, yet ironically that's when we may well see our midfield pulled apart!

God some people are getting overexcited. Best midfield in the division?!
It's capable of being a very adequate one, maybe even above average. But it's nowhere near the best midfield in the division. There's no pace for starters.

For at least half of the 97-98 season people were saying Keen, Kavanagh, Wallace and Forsyth was the best midfield in the division.
You see what you want to see at times.
I do think Badou can be brilliant at this level though, if we can keep his head in the right place.

Good players (when they try) - but not the best midfield as it lacks balance - creativity or pace to go with the steel of Etebo and Ni'Diaye.
Fulham = Knockhaert, Cariney, Arter (CDM), Johanesen, Cavaleiro. 2 solid ones, a creative one and 2 productive wide ones.
WBA = Philips, Sawyers, Livermore, Diagana/Perreira - 2 energetic holders and 2 pacy creative goalscorers
... not necessarily better players 1 for 1, but as a unit.... If we play Clucas, Allen, Etebo, N'Diaye, we really need 2 up top - one fast, one big - to compensate.

Replacing Allen with (a fit) Powell at the tip of the diamond would be part of the solution, when it comes to creativity. Bugger all we can do about pace, with the fullbacks we currently have on the books. I'm not sure Campbell has got the correct attitude, despite being the only one with any pace up front. The squad is terribly unbalanced, despite it's size.

One of our midfielders scored.... Thank God because our starting 2 up front would never have scored in a month of Sundays. Clucas will get 6-8 goals but that still leaves us very short. The issue is not just creativity in midfield especially if you've got such poor finishers. We should have been out of sight yesterday.

Allen is quite capable of getting half a dozen goals if not more .Clucas has three already. Etebo and Badou both have a long range missile in their locker. Powell can definitely score. Midfield should be getting 20 goals between them.

Like Roy Keane and many others say, midfield is key. Win and control the midfield and you win many games
Our midfield is right up there in this division when they're all firing
