Just watching Brighton do a job on hopeless Spurs. He's got them playing in a very patient possession based way, there's no way our fans would put up with that without moaning

Just said the same thing. People were moaning when we were linked to him 18 months ago. Now he changes formation based on who they are playing, has the team organized, playing good football and giving youth a chance.
Very impressive today.

Do you think he would have made any difference here? I doubt it, think any manager would have crash and burned in the last few seasons.

Of course they would, they'd be very supportive of that sort of performance, especially against spurs.

Of course they would, they'd be very supportive of that sort of performance, especially against spurs. It's about getting the best out of the players at your disposal. I watched Sheffield United against Liverpool last week and they were a prime example of it, well drilled yet passing quickly with plenty of movement. Brighton were the same against an admittedly dire Spurs. I want a capable manager. Is it too much to ask?

When we decided that he wasn’t worth considering for the management role it was very much one of those ‘sliding doors’ moments - bit like when we decided Graham Shaw was a better prospect than David Platt.........things might have been very different.
