I don't think they know what they're doing. Not just in the usual pejorative way, I genuinely think they haven't got a clue what to do. One suspects that whichever legal firm has got Stoke City on its books must be looking at this latest managerial sacking and casting real doubt over how the club is run. Maybe they should take some advice from whoever owns Watford. They seem really good at wheeling them in wheeling them out. I'm of the understanding Jones is represented by Beswicks so perhaps theres some inner workings going on. Maybe Jones has been promised maximum payout if he holds out to see us through until a new Managers appointed. Making him earn his payday kind of thing.

Reflects on you really. They know exactly what they're doing. Sacking Jones would be so easy, just a knee jerk reaction like so many other stupid chairmen. They beg to differ. Might look weird from the outside, but not to them. That's the only thing that matters. To them. More likely their top managerial targets don't want the job so they're keeping jones on for a bit longer till they can figure out their next move. I know there's a lot of stories in the national press, but their stories don't come from the main Clayton Wood office. The hacks always like to be ahead of the pack with the news before it happens. They don't know the first thing about what goes on in this board room. To perhaps express myself a little weirdly there's probably going far less on than there would be in many another boardroom. That's because our owners know exactly what they want, whereas they often don't, where the owners knows (too) little about football. I seriously doubt that the owners have had contact with the majority of the 20+ names that are being thrown about. They might have had hypothetical feelers out to one or two, but that's all. That said your answer would seem to confirm my theory that no sane manager would want to take over from Jones.

there is no communication because scholes and coates , don't know what they are doing .
The final whistle went to end our defeat V huddersfield . NJ went round and said his goodbyes.
And scholes and coates , had no idea , who the next stoke manager was going to be
They just pay themselves lots of money , and make it up as they go along .
Money for old rope
