A good start for me would be to play Davies (our new keeper - remember him), 4 at the back without McClean, 4 in midfield a number 10 and a striker, fuck the diamond off as it just isn't going to work at this club, stop ostracising players and keep a settled side. Gouranga. So you want Pulis and 4411. Which basically means you've answered your own question. No. That’s a stretch isn’t it? 4-2-3-1 would also apply? Pulis didn’t play with a number 10, that role was The Mama Role which was a different thing entirely.

jones couldn't turn a shopping trolley around,he will use the same useless players in the same stupid diamond formation. nothing will change,it's like he has programmed himself to make this diamond formation work whatever the results.

I was still 'Jones in' until Huddersfield, but I can't see how it'll get any better now. We've had the worst run of luck I've ever seen so I don't think it's all Jones' fault by any means. Though he hasn't helped himself with the chopping and changing and too many signings that look poor. Say he'd started to stick with a settled side 3 or 4 games ago, things could look different by now. If he'd made less changes against Crawley and we'd still lost on penalties, I think some fans would be more forgiving. I'd say the only way to change it now is to go for broke. Put out a team to score goals, however many we happen to concede. We actually put in some good crosses against Huddersfield, so maybe an extra target man would've seen us score. We can't rely on our luck changing, we've got to be positive to get out of this massive rut. I've no idea if we have a psychologist already, but pay someone like Steve Peters whatever he wants to fix our player's heads, and we'll stay up. I think Jones will be successful somewhere again, just not at Stoke, unfortunately. I really, really hope I'm proved wrong, starting against Swansea. mate you are deluded if you think this joke of a manager will come good, I wouldn't wish him on vale,on second thoughts yes I would.

Yes of course he can turn it around, as obviously he's just been taking the piss for the last 30 odd games and been shit intentionally, in order to lull the rest of the league into a false sense of security.
He will now rise up, take his natural, reptilian form and call upon the elite Illuminati XI that he secretly signed in the summer to storm the league......
What the fuck were you thinking with this thread Albert?

At the moment I don't think he could turn his car around let alone the team. Can we afford to find out? If you stuck with him I guess things might improve over time but can we take the risk...

He should out the club and make all of the shit that obviously goes on behind the scenes (and has since at least Hughes' reign) public.
That's what I'd do.

Probably not but I'd rather we got relegated with him trying than brought in Mick McCarthy.

And what do you think he needs to do (apart from leave) to achieve it? Gouranga. No chance if he keeps playing wing-backs. A 4-4-2 at home and a 4-2-3-1 away would make a difference, but the squad just isn't very good. We're in serious trouble.
