Here is the best one today, off Chunkmark Getting a bit worried about the election than are we Not in the slightest he has being doing this for years. Stoke-On-Trent should be worried if the tories win ,just look at the state of it over the last ten years of tory rule and the last four years of local tory rule.

The people are not natural tories in our city but alas they have been let down by poor decisions by Labour. But running to the enemy for help is never going to work .

I remember the great years of Stoke On Trent from 1997 to 2010. If only Labour had had the last 9 years it would have been paved in gold by now. Such a shame there was nothing left in the pot in 2010 when the Conservatives and Libdems inherited the complete mess. They should have borrowed like fuck after all the problem would then have been moved on to future generations.

Everything, because it was labour who destroyed Stoke on Trent no one else. Sat there thinking that Stoke who just keep voting labour as they allowed Doulton to move to India (no investment into SOT), allowed Waterford to pick apart the potteries and run away with the Crown Jewels, did not support business enterprise despite the best attempts by bridgewater... allowed the city centre to stagnate and wallow for decades with half hearted attempts here and there with no real drive or direction... oh but they are labour through and through... they didn’t have to bother... Woolfe hit the nail on the head, even if he was a bit dodgy himself, when he spoke of the labour corruption in the city blocking any attempt to improve city while jobs and businesses disappeared .... and this was all during your believed labour‘s watch! It’ll be in the sentinel archives...

Plenty, when we were looking for a new office block in Stoke in 2001, there weren't any decent enterprise parks in Stoke, we moved to Crewe. Labour lost more manufacturing jobs in their 13 years than the previous 18 years under the Tories - source is the ONS. The potteries were devastated without any retrain policies like some mining towns You say the Tories don't invest in the Potteries, wasn't there the recent announcement of government initiative funding of £130m into Stoke on trent, same time that it was announced Kidsgrove was getting £20m ? They invested £20m in a geothermal local heat network about 5 years ago, road widening on the A500, and recently completed similar on the A50 near to the ground
