Wow, pretty straight up, not pretending he has a hope of staying. Wonder if it'll be mutual consent then. Fair play to him if so, would give me some respect for him as a person even if I don't rate him as a manager.

He’s toast. I do feel sorry for him but no room for feelings when we are bottom of the league.

Painful to watch, a decent chap struggling with his role. He knows he will be unemployed come Wednesday...with a couple of million in his back pocket as a golden handshake and gagging order

I can't feel sorry for him. He had carter vickers and mcclean as full backs today.
His answer for the striker role this summer was fucking lee gregory. I like Lee, he runs but he's shit. And he plays as our lone striker.
I want to feel sorry for him but he's inflicted the best part of a year of abject misery upon us

I can’t dislike him but he’s been absolutely useless as a manager and we’re left with Shit Managerial Signings Volume 3 to deal with. And we’re still paying 1 and 2 off.

I wish him well. Players need to take responsability. 4 managers later we cannot turn it around. I don't think God almighty could get this shower to perform.

Yep. It’s over. Good luck in whatever you do next Nathan. I honestly think he'll do well wherever he goes next. Whilst The Mighty Potters continue to plummet! I'm honestly gutted that this hasn't worked out and I applaud the board for trying something different but it's been a bit of a disaster. It's back to pre-historic times with a tactical dinosaur coming in to play the good 'ode "two banks of four".

In his Radio Stoke interview he pretty much accepted responsibility. I can't take much pleasure in a man losing his job especially when his job loss is because his failings means Stoke have failed.

Fuck him, he brought it all on himself. Chronically mismanaged a squad of players. Only three players that started tonight were his signings! And i think it was two against Forest. Promises young athletic players, and delivers Danny Baath, Sam Vokes, Stephen Ward.
Signs a promising keeper, who would no doubt be number 1 for one of our relegation rivals and lets him rot in the U23’s. Just what has gone on here?
Brings players in out of the cold who were desperate to leave the club Ndiaye and Bruno. What will this do to the moral of those that do want to play for us ( if there is any ).
Talked about two players for every position, so essentially 4 centre halfs, we have six. Two left backs, we have one!
Tonight our back four consisted of three centre halfs and a left winger. He brought a right full back into the club for 4 million in August, and he still hammers square pegs into round holes.

I have to confess I don't really like him. Yeah, he's given his heart, soul and probably his whole life (even as a newly wed) to trying to make it work and I respect that but I don't like him.
He's a delusional narcissist who talks a whole load of balls, doesn't really take responsibility and isn't a fraction as good as he thinks he is.
However much we 'dominated' the game to an extent, that team tonight was worthy of five sackings and him never working in the game again.

His interview on Radio Stoke at tje end of P&G, he actually apologised to the fans as he's let them down and thanked them for the patience they've shown him. Said the same as on there re: not getting results but said he took full responsibility for that, admitted he hadn't been good enough, also admitted that he said for people to judge him 10 games in so they're right to judge now and he acknowledged that HE simply hadn't been good enough. He was so contrite and humble that Nige actually asked him straight out if it was a resignation speech. To be fair he was very humble and took full responsibility

How can he bemoan a lack of cutting edge when he persists with one striker so fucking isolated he might aswell be sat in the stands?

I accept his apology but I don’t really buy it - I don’t think he genuinely sees that’s he’s done things wrong here. I hope I am wrong about him because it’s not nice to think that about anyone but I agree “narcissist” is the word that sprang to my mind. I think Rowett was more genuine even though he was a prick and I couldn’t stand him.
