Apologies if this has already been covered and more apologies if I've got any of these wrong because I've just quickly scanned back through all seasons when we finished in the bottom half of the table:
- In 1984/85 we went 17 without a win so we're two off that and three off breaking the record.
- In 1951/52 we didn't win any of the first 11 games so we're two off that and three off breaking the record.
- In 1889/90, 1959/60 and 1984/85 (twice!) we lost 10 in a row which is pretty impressive and a record we're unlikely to match. Well done to the classes of 1889/90 and 1959/60; and extra credit to the boys from 1984/85 for repeating the trick.
In summary: this is not looking good.
