He said in his Sky interview: "It will probably fall on me.. well it has fallen on me.. well it might do" Feel for him because you cut Butland's mistakes out alone and we have a much better outlook. Not amazing still, but we'd have continued to draw every other game again like last season He is responsible for ensuring the mental state of his players is strong enough to avoid mistakes. It is a key part of his job.

Just watched the sky iv. He is full of shit. Refers to Luton. Refers to Stacey and Justin bring prem players thanks to him. Forget the past Nathan. You’re only as good as our last result. Just go! We’ve only concede 2 a game under you. You bought and chose the players, amongst them the worst defenders I’ve seen since Ben fucking Petty and Lee Collins! Fuck me even Steven Tweed was better than this pile of utterly inept shit! God willing he’ ll Be sacked in the morning.

Stoke boss Nathan Jones: "We're a good side between both boxes, we really are. We move the ball well, we press, we work hard - we created so many chances today. They had three crosses and scored three goals. Three errors from us, but it's been symptomatic. "We had a great pre-season. We have a one-on-one with the 'keeper in the first game and then nine minutes in an error and the whole place deflates and then six months' work goes out the window. We had big errors on Sky in the last game. "Today we started brilliantly, were on the front foot, moving the ball well - we looked a wonderful side. Then an error, they are back in the game and the place deflates. I'm so confident about the work we do. I believe in the work we do and we look, at times, a wonderful side. But if people don't do their jobs on the pitch then, as a manager, you stand in there pretty much helpless." He's absolutely right. We could bring out our own Christmas Howlers DVD based on this season alone and Jack Butland would be on the front cover.

It is a key part of his job. Some players have weaker mindsets than others. Butland's to blame for his own goalkeeping errors - the decisions he makes, the footwork, the handling - all of it. However, Jones can be blamed for picking someone who's career has clearly gone to pot basically overnight.

Made for uncomfortable viewing. He looks a genuinely broken man who’s done his best but not got it right. The sad thing is he will be the scapegoat but it’s been a long time coming from the days of Hughes last season. Unfortunately as always those who’ve overseen the mess will allow him to take the blame as will they players who on the whole have let him down.

I think his interview said it all, he knows that is the end and is just waiting for official notification. He sounded like someone who is beaten. Really I will be surprised if he’s sacked before Huddersfield... That was his last game managing Stoke City Neddy.

His radio stoke interview was more telling, liam Lawrence and Lee blakeman both agreeing that hes a goner. The telling point in his radio interview was that he he said whatever happened he would use this experience to come back stronger in his career.
Hes deffo gone

I overall like Jones but too many mistakes will probably cost him his job. After watching tonight's game you can see who are willing to put a graft in and that falls on people like etebo, ndiye, bruno
Jones needs to drop McLean and ince as both do nothing and may as well start with 9 men. McLean the one trick pony and ince heat map will probably see him in the same spot 80% of the game at least. I can't actually remember when he turned up for a game.

I feel sorry for him tonight. The players well and truly fucked him. Well, some of them. I would say half of them had a bloody good game but the defending was yet again diabolical. We were the better side by a mile and we’ve gone and fucked ourselves and hung the manager.

He was very lucky to have been given a shot at a big club and its turned out he isn't good enough. He's a lower league manager who has now been turned into a wealthy man who doesn't need to work again.

He won't walk. New manager all but sorted but may not be in for Tuesday. No funds for transfers in Jan - if he sells he can buy. Manager will work with his own crew, appears confident he can get this squad to safety this season.

We were the better side by a mile and we’ve gone and fucked ourselves and hung the manager. The buck stops with Jones. He picks the out of form players and the multiple formations that we alternate between every match. Opposition managers target mcclean because of his weakness when defending, and that results in goals. Again, Jones’ fault for not fixing this problem when he had the chance.

I actually do feel sorry for him tonight because Butland, Edwards and Ince have shafted him in this game. However he has had 9 months to assess these players, and he did say judge me after a pre- season, these are my players. The judgement - hard facts- is 2 points from 27 and a -11 gd. The people who have consistently let him down keep being picked (I also include Lindsay), while others may have a couple of good games followed by a bad game and are dropped from the side (Woods). Can even his biggest fans or people who don’t believe in removing managers willy nilly ( although 35 games is hardly rushed) really think Jones can turn this around?
