A new manager will pick up the points needed to stay up with this lot. Coates needs to get it sorted NOW. Based on what exactly? That’s now 18 wins in 98 games. Ninety eight. 4 wins in 37. That's practically a season.

The board stupid enough to appoint Jones are not going to find someone to give us a chance, a la their Lambert appointment. Cue Kevin Philips, Paul Hart, Adie Boothroyd, Chris Coleman... The irony being that Lambert is now doing excellent work at Ipswich on a limited budget. There’s every chance he’ll leapfrog us into the championship while we drop to league one. He's better than Rowett and Jones, and might have been OK for the Championship, as wank as that sounds! 😁

We’ll get a new manager and butland will score three own goals in the first game.

We’ll get a new manager and butland will score three own goals in the first game. He needs to go, but who’s gonna go for him, he’s shot to pieces. A literal broken man. The relegation from the premier ended his career, never looked the same since. The sad thing is, in prem relegation season it was the defence in front of him that was letting him down, but now it seems to be individual errors.

It does feel like free fall Yes we should get rid sadly of the manager but this bunch seems shot to hell
I think the family have let this slide too far for it to be turned around

Confidence shot, only a few individuals with enough quality and defending absolutely woefully. Not too mention Butlands head is fucked more than the pie from American Pie. I'm happy to say we're going down. A big thanks to all those involved... Tony Scholes? Peter Coates etc... Remember when I sat on this forum (back in the PL) and suggested that we were in a state of managed decline? That was about 3 seasons ago and I was jumped on like a fucking pitbull.... managed decline.

I'm happy to say we will stay up. Even though we criminally loaned out the only winger in the squad and the quality of crosses is our biggest let down.

There is enough talent in this squad that any manager qualified to actually do the job (by default not anyone the current decision makers will choose - unless its CH) will turn the season around (assuming non of the following play regularly - Allen, Butland, Clucas, Edwards, McClean, Ince, Carter vickers and Lindsay - and any manager worth his salt will drop them)

We’re really clutching at straws if we’re going down that road, we’ve been the victim of shit officiating for years. We’re just laughably incompetent and it makes me sick. Probably is clutching at straws but the last thing a team with our recent form and rock bottom confidence needs is the opposition being given a rather large helping hand from wank officials when seemingly in complete control of the game. Thing is, we weren't in complete control of the game when Forest scored. They were on top and had been for a good ten minutes.

We can't score and can't defend. Too many mistakes, only spells one thing. What worries is me is I can't see any manager, not even Pulis, sorting that defence out. We will continue to give soft goals away.

-11 goal difference is a relegation indicator. I agree, I don't think it can be sorted unfortunately. -11 after 9 games - we've shit it.

A new manager, picked by the same idiots and a job as attractive as bottom of the Championship will not make a jot of difference. These fuckers lack a backbone, heart and professionalism. This will take years to correct. I was laughed at on here for suggesting a three year turn around after relegation. Make that 6 years minimum, and that's if we don't drop. We wouldn't be in anywhere near the mess we are in now if Rowett hadn't had lost his head with the fans. Agree, but there are about 20 major “if’s “, any one of which would have saved us from this.

When you think of the away games we have left and the points we need it’s going to take one hell of a turnaround.

I've given up hope of this shambles being turned around. A new manager will come in and I guarantee the 1st thing he'll say is we've got good players, particularly Butland and Allen who will be the 1st names on the team sheet. In all likelyhood the only 2 decent players,Etebo and Ndiaye, will be off in january.
We've got a horribly unbalanced squad STILL.
It's going to take a miracle

It's not looking good is it. Not sure if someone new coming in can actually change this. Players fold at the first sign of pressure. Senior players not taking responsibility and grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck. I like Jones, he's not the man for this job though. I think this thread will be active until the last day of the season!

Think we need to go down for the good of the club. Get 90% of this overpaid shit out the door and buy some proper players who wanna go somewhere not prima donnas. Or do people believe that the right manager can get this lot going? The club stinks. Scholes needs to fuck off aswell

Wonder if we’ve seen the last of the happy clapper brigade? If you’re talking about supporters that refuse to give up on their team regardless of how badly things are going, you’ll never see the last of us, thankfully. Come On Stoke!
