Absolutely wonderful stuff!!! I remember sitting up until 3-4 in the morning watching the Liverpool game How far we have fallen Hey up mate. I'm secretly hoping for a loss tonight to shake the whole bloody club up. Not so secretly, is it?

But if the first reference point after winning a classic epic like that is to pick fault it shows no appreciation for current status. And conceding goals isn't good obviously but Everton't goals contributed to a fantastic game of football. Football is a game of possibilities, often it's the perfect imperfection. Micro managing every second of every move and each passing glance is joyless. And not striving to improve isn't what led to this. I’m not sure I did with that. Beating Man You 2-0 at home I did. That’s when Hughes lost it. And of course it is. Why do you think i was referring to you?

We were a very good team for a pretty decent length of time. Horrific as everything is at the moment, I'm grateful to have seen Stoke like that in my lifetime, I never thought I would as a kid. It's why I referred to it as a golden age while we were up there. Knowing it was great and enjoying it as such knowing it could end. Those who moaned all their way through must feel daft now. Particularly after the thrilling 4-3 win at Goodison Park when, despite beating the shit a few days before and taking a big scalp some were whinging about having conceded 3. Totally agree on the overall point Joe. I used to use the exact same term. An Arsenal friend and I used to compare notes between their Invincibles season and the peaks of Stoke in the Prem.. the general gist being that it’s important to appreciate the exceptionally good times because you will probably never see them again. That said, that Everton game is just about the worst example you could’ve picked for me. I didn’t enjoy it much (until the end). I thought we were quite poor and lucky to win 😆 all relative of course....

Two sides at polar opposites yet got the job done.
Comparing that to our present bunch of clowns is fucking depressing.

I assume that’s the last time we scored four goals....

I wanted to cheer myself up and thought what better way than this. Note how we let Owd Banana boots score on his final game (@-@) Watching that back I'm absolutely convinced they were told to let Gerrard score.

Stoke 5- 0 Liverpool at half time never experienced anything quite like it
