Back to the diamond with the physicality of Etebo & Badou allowing woods to keep us ticking over, with Powell pulling the strings for Gregory & Hogan.
Butland
Edwards Batth Bruno Clucas
Woods Etebo Badou Powell

Campbell should never play for this football club again. Never is a bit harsh, I just don't think he's ready yet, he needs another loan really.

Or because hes crap? Just because his mouthy father thinks hes brilliant doesn't mean that he is. Nah, it’s definitely the cowardly manager. Got nothing to do with the manager being a coward, he just isn't good enough, maybe he could be but he has a lot to learn.

Butland Edwards Batth Bruno Clucas Woods Etebo Badou Powell Hogan Gregory I would quite like to see that team. That was the formation that created a host of chances against Charlton and Derby, but strengthened in centre mid, with Powell offering more creativity and probably Clucas and Bruno more solid defensively. Might as well throw caution to the wind and have a go.

Going by another thread,he needs to pick 11 players who will play for him,is there 11 though? and what will be the point if the 11 picked are all out of possition?
What a fecking mess the Board have let this club become.

The best football we have played is with the diamond that everyone moaned about, if during some of those games we cut out the silly individual mistakes from Butland and others and just a few of the chances that hit the bar and post had gone in we wouldn’t be in this mess

Fact is the if's haven't happened. I've always liked that saying you make your own luck. And if a team works hard enough the luck does miraculously appear. We have a team that is as disjointed as I have ever seen at Stoke. A third of em can't be arsed, another third aren't good enough and the other third are glad they have long contracts and can be arsed sometimes but not very often. The club has totally snookered itself with its appalling transfer business over the last 4 years. Its actually longer than that in reality but hey lets not rub it in. No leaders no fighters and no direction from the club, we are doomed. League one definitely next season. On the bright side maybe that's when the rebuild can begin in earnest.

I'm struggling to see how any of the players can have any belief left in a manager who has guided them to 4 wins in 30 odd games. They may want to play for him but maybe they haven't got a fucking clue how or what they are supposed to be doing right now. Imagine if you played for a Sunday League team with a similar record? Would you have any belief that you could go out and win a game of footbal? “Football is a simple game made complicated by people who should know better.” Bill Shankly

So the definition of coward is not playing young players? Jones may well favour experience over youth. That is a professional judgement and he isn't the only manager with that view. You may disagree with his professional judgement - that's fine but just because someone holds a different opinion it doesn't make them a coward. That's just childish name calling.

I have a sneaky feeling he's going to go for a "do or die" last throw of the diamond dice.
Butland Edwards Batth Lindsey Bruno Ndiaye Etebo Clucas Powell Gregory Horgan
I'll probably be wrong.

No way he will drop McClean. Same as Brentford. Hard fought 0-0 draw. And Nathan will live to fight another day.

His whole air is one of cowardice. Talks about attacking exciting football then plays five at the back away at Crawley.

I wouldn't have Liam Lindsay anywhere near ST4 tomorrow night. No way is he ready for even the Championship. Him, Smith (sullies the famous name!), Baath Cousins Vokes can stay away too, Collins ban will let one back in unfortunately. Davies (point to prove), Edwards Baath Bmi Clucas, Etebo Badou Ince, Powell Hogan Gregory in a bold 4-3-3 and go for it. Couldn't do any worse than anything previously tried.

Diamond: Davies Edwards Batth Indi Clucas Woods Ndiaye Etebo Powell Gregory Hogan Non-Diamond: Davies Edwards Batth Indi Clucas Woods Ndiaye Ince Powell Etebo Gregory
I'm pretty sure Etebo has successfully played left wing before. Hogan and Duffy subbed on at 60 minutes.

Also.....a back 5 vs Crawley = massive coward With wing backs isn't quite the same is it as a flat back five so thats pushing it a little, either way its hardly fair to call him a coward for not playing a player thats clearly not ready.
