Well, obviously, no. Not a disaster like an earthquake, tsunami or volcano next door. But FFS we were a well-run, tidy and competent Premier League Club not that long ago. This is not Sunderland or Wolves, Southampton or even Leicester in their meltdown days. Teams like us get relegated, but teams like us should expect to regroup and bounce back after no more than three seasons. Swansea and WBA look like they are on that course, and so should we be. There is no excuse for the current situation, and that’s what people find so frustrating.

I can’t even believe we are contemplating it. But it’s a reality based on form.
Jones needs to go. If this was any other manager he’d be gone now. Phillipe Cocu will be sacked before Jones at this rate!

It'd be good to drop to a league where we could win a few games. Which is what I thought when we dropped into the Championship. R u for real

We had this nonsense when we were relegated from the Prem. Yes, it’d be really shit. Massively shit. For all the variety of opinions among fans, you really would think RELEGATION IS BAD would be a unifying principle that everyone could agree on wouldn't you. But no... 😂 Indeed! And hope that the powers that be could see things were a bit shit without taking the hit.

Great night at Wycombe for Gudjon’s 1st game but soon back down to Earth on the Saturday with a 1-1 home draw to Colchester 😄 Didn’t we have one of the lowest crowds for that Wycombe home game that finished 2-2? Was that the night he and lawry Sanchez almost came to blows . Good times 🥊🥊 You on about the home game mate because I don’t remember a lot about the away game apart from celebrating wildly and singing the bass song😄

From a financial point of view it would, yeah.
From Nathan Jones' point of view it would be ideal.
He wouldn't be out of his league any more, he'd be right down at his spiritual home, where he knows how to behold the teams. His useless purchases would come into their own, and he might just slip in an academy player or two.
From supporters' point of view it would eventually come to be fantastic, because Stoke would win, win, and win. Something most of us have forgotten what is...
From the board's point of view, well they can't ignore the finances, but they would see the crowds come flocking in to a sold out Bet365, as we win promotion already in late February.
Delighted by the outcome Nathan Jones will be handed a new six year contract, with another six year option.
That's exactly when our problems return...

Were you there when we were in that division?? I was 13 when we played Cardiff in the playoff final if that helps you! But yes I remember the league 1/division 2 and Autoglass trophy days I was 33 and I remember how hard it was to get out of that division. I do not want to go there again.

If we go down again then it would be the biggest disaster in our history, in my humble opinion. Especially, given the fact where we were plying our trade a mere three years ago. It would demonstrate the complete and utter shambles our club has got itself into. We are supposed to be a stable club, with billionaire local owners who also had ten years on the Premier gravy train. There should be no reason whatsoever that this club should have found itself in this position. Inept, lazy arsed, poor decisions have got us to this point.
To the point where relegation is again a possibility. It’s shockingly woeful. An absolute disgrace.

I don't think it would be the worst thing Other clubs have been down and back up and then gone on to better things. Sunderland fans are probably far happier than they were as they get to see some wins I don't think it would be the worst thing ..ffs I have heard it all now..

So it'd go from doing a Charlton/Leicester/Wolves being a negative thing to being a positive thing? Can we still send Collins and Edwards out on loan to prepare them?

Fucking crazy nineties mentality - we could have been a Leicester with our backing and now we’re suggesting a season with Crewe and Vale potentially would be somehow a good thing - Jesus hates Christ.......

I remember when we were on the verge of relegation from the Premier League and some fans were saying exactly the same thing about dropping into the Championship.
"Would it be that bad?"
"A chance to rebuild"
"At least we will win some games"
That hasn't turned out well. Neither will dropping into the third tier!

Was thinking on the way home as I drove past the Brit... If worst came to the worst and we ended up going down again, would it be a total disaster? How do we plan for that? Leicester went down there, Wolves went down there. Sunderland are still down there... Had to rebuild. I don't think we're quite Sunderland material but all the same.. What will it take for the Coates family to finally ring wholesale changes? We never got the changes promised after Hughes was sacked and if we can't stop the rot we'll be firmly up shit creek with half a bastard paddle by Christmas. If we went down, does it destroy us or do we do what Leicester and Wolves managed to do? Would be interested to know what happened with said clubs Seriously? Why not drop out of the Sentinel while we are at it. Unbelievable!!!

Clubs have gone down and bounced back stronger, but clubs have also dropped even further,I would rather not take that gamble.

It would be a nightmare. The macari days were great when we won the autoglass and then won the title the next season but they were very different times. Our club is on the verge of being flat back on its arse if we continue this disastrous form and general malaise. Action is needed now. I just don’t see us winning games on a regular basis. Act now.
