Extremely rare that I post on here even though I pretty much check in daily to catch up on the topics surrounding our beloved club.
It is without doubt the worst start to the season that most us anticipated. I for one had very high hopes of it being far more successful and certainly did not foresee the league table as it stands at this present moment in time.
Those of us old enough will unfortunately remember times way worse than the situation we find ourselves in today and both Bolton and Bury fans would swap positions with us within a blink of a hat!
Our club is without doubt in dire straights right now and both the manager and the team are in desperate need of true SUPPORT. We are not in the premiership smacking 6 past Liverpool right now, we are not playing Manchester City off the field playing amazing football and beating them with ease. That team was Stoke City the same Stoke City that unfortunately lies at the bottom of the second tier in English football. There is very little that will come good of our situation right now other than separating the wannabe premiership supporter to the TRUE Stoke supporter. Reading through the threads there is a constant rant and bicker between ourselves about players, management and anybody else there is to blame for our demise. Now is a time more than ever that in slim shady”s words would sing would the real Stoke City supporters please stand up!!!

I've said this before......"I wish people would stop comparing"!!!
We're not Bury, and we're not Bolton, they have their issues, and we have ours, but if we keep burying our heads in the sand and hoping that it'll all go away, then maybe one day, we could find ourselves in a similar position as Bury and Bolton, not necessarily financial wise but positional wise, yeah!!!

What you fail to realize is that if this site had been up and running in the holocaust season for example, then it would have been every bit as toxic as it is. I genuinely feel sorry for the folks that spend huge chunks of their time on here. I’d be driven to despair. Thank goodness I have real life to have a break from this pit of despair.

As I've said in another thread I thought the support was ridiculously supportive yesterday considering the dross on offer. Jones got a polite round of applause at the end. Amazing compared to reactions in the past. I think Stoke fans have been beaten into apathy.
Are true supporters like the mindless half wits in Block 16 who stood and yelled and screamed obscenities at anyone who was leaving the ground early, and then made it all right by apologising the two small children sitting with their dad in the row below? Those kids were terrified. You know who you are, the ginger haired thug and his spikey headed mate who was laughing. Stick your true supporter label up your arse you clowns.

That ginger haired one is a right bell end.
Thinks he is hard as nails. He crawled up his own arse when what looked like his nanny shouted at him for trying to steal a pack of gummy bears from B&M

Im a real stoke fan..... of 53 yrs..... and i stood up all through the game yesterday.... And i saw a team in real trouble.... again. Until the opposition score... were the best team.... but there goalkeeper could have nipped off for a brew.... i dont no the reason, but we are a side in trouble.... if you think otherwise... your kidding yourself.... we have players who are playing out of position to accommodate a system that the manager insists on... although its been proved it doesnt work...... he was a big fish in 2 small ponds at luton..... hes now a small fish in a big pond.... and is way out of his depth.....yes weve had worse starts..... but not worse and utterly spineless performances.... its not the losing .... its the manor of how easy we get torn apart by very average teams.... leeds were nothing special..... and before you tell me theyre top of the league......we made a shit qpr and poor preston look like real madrid..... there clearly is massive issues behind the scenes..... if needs sorting out asap.... were a team devoid of confidence....and that wont change why he persists with this fkn poisonous diamond. Teams have total control of the midfield....its taking 2/3 touches from there 18yrd line to ours ...football is a simple game.... you play to your teams strengths.....and we have a manager who is doing the polar opposite..... 4 4 2 is simple. .. everyone knows instinctively what they are doing. ..jones's stubbornness to accept this will either relegate us.... or cost him his job......or both.... teams arent playing great football to beat us.... its just general balls down the flanks then pulled sqre across the box..... sunday morning stuff..... we are awful. No leaders on the pitch.... and non off it... we change formation 2 to 3 times a game...hes a snake oil salesman... and hes trying to bluff his way out of it.... if people cant see it....im not sure what it is your watching.

Best post I've read in ages. The bit about leaders is important. It looks and sounds great to have an 18-year-old as captain (and I think he's got a cracking future) but that really does show players around him almost twice his age to be completely clueless.

To be honest I think the reason why so many people are crying out for changes is because we care so much for this club. What is a real supporter? To me that is someone who cares for the club and wants the best for the club. You're not necessarily a better supporter if you accept any situation no matter how bad it is. To compare our situation with Bury and Bolton is really a bit far fetched as we have some of the richest owners in the league. This is also why we probably have the most expensive squad in this division, and because of this we should also be fighting for promotion and not beeing rock bottom of our division!
i missed 7 games in 17 years does that make me a TRUE supporter, no i went because i enjoyed it. now miss more than i go too why? because i dont enjoy it anymore. i go do stuff i enjoy doing on a saturday, will it change? got no idea we will see!
What is a true supporter? Just because someone has come about during the better times, that makes them no less of a true supporter than someone who has been on previous downward times. It’s all about timing when you get on the roundabout as a supporter and if you are fortunate to have only seen good times well lucky you.
Our support is the least of our worries....even yesterday, the slightest glimmer of hope was met with a roar. People have opinions and can express them...or is it suggested your opinion only has value if you have been sleeping on broken glass and eating gruel.
If the team shows just a little, the fans are right with them....always have been, always will be.
