On ability are we a relegation team? We're certainly not a top 10 team but I certainly don't think we're a bottom 3 team either.
For the people STILL backing Jones - On confidence and motivation we are probably 24th and confidence and motivation come from the management down. Unless something drastically changes i.e. the management, we'll go down. It's a matter of when not if he goes and like Hughes the longer they leave it the more damage will be done.
The worst thing about the whole debacle for me has been the talk of promotion pre season when the powers that be knew damn well it was never even a realistic proposition. As I've said in another thread you dont make the signings we've made if promotion is the aim. They're cost saving signings which there is nothing wrong with if you're honest and say that. But to talk about promotion in order to sell season tickets and know damn well it's not the real aim is wrong.

Relegation is a certainty unless we send for Red Adair or Tony Pulis to sort it out.

We are every inch a relegation team.
Top of the League Leeds who are a good side have absolutely schooled us today.
3 nil is bad. Could have been 4. We wouldn't have scored in 40 games.

"We're too good to go down"
Something that people have said about every stoke team I've ever seen relegated. This team absolutely stinks of relegation.

It blows my mind people can call themselves fans and say things like that. That's not even taking into account the man should be treated like a club legend for what he achieved.

It’s a bit pathetic you can’t even have a reasonable discusssion about this without people saying they’d rather be in League One. Firstly getting relegated would ruin us with the players we have on the contracts we have and secondly can anyone actually say hand on heart that TP wouldn’t stabilise us and give us something to build from? I wasn’t ever clamouring for him back but now it seems the only people qualified to do the job we need our manager to do now which is stop the rot and rebuild from the basics up are TP and Big Sam. It’s not a nice position to be in but it’s where we are. Another appointment based on a dream of where we think we want to be and not firmly based on the reality of our situation could destroy us.

Since last Christmas, we've got the worst record in the Championship.
Even QPR have got more points in the last 28 games after their win today
I've been in denial, but I think we've got to wake up to the possibility now.

You’d take relegation over Pulis? Yup. Wow! So if you were in hospital and you didn't like the surgeon who was going to do your operation to save your life, - you would rather die?

Wow! So if you were in hospital and you didn't like the surgeon who was going to do your operation to save your life, - you would rather die? Yes because the two situations are similar aren't they. I wouldn't have to watch hours of the surgeon's more drawn out operations before theatre and I'd be asleep during the procedure anyway (a similarity to Pulisball there, granted)

We have the stench of relegation all over this team at the minute Clearly it was all that lumbering oaf Afobe's fault up front. After looking like a donkey here that's 3 he's scored now for Bristol in 2 games Player's fault or the way we're playing?

This TP argument has been raging on so long. Maybe there is only one way to deal with the divide - Sir Stans statue - Rimmers v Haters. Winners take all.

Oh well, relegation it'll have to be. A chance to rebuild rather than that capped cretin spreading discord throughout the support like a cancer. And you call yourself a fan? Isn't his argument that he feels Pulis would be more damaging to the club than relegation? Don't see how that contradicts supporting Stoke in any way whatsoever. Just wants what he thinks would be best for the club, people are allowed opinions and many (myself included) can't think of much worse than Pulis returning.
