I'm sure there are many more who would love a season ticket. I know I'd love to be able to commit but I'm moving to Bristol just into the new season to start in a graduate job. As things stand I just don't know what my financial situation will be. It's a shitter having had a season ticket from the Vic days and seen some utter dross but unfortunately the pounds talk and I can't throw money around this year gutted

wizard: I'm afriad i would have to disagree on the Pedigree issue, it has to be said WBA have been more succesfull than us , think they have won the FA cup no less than 5 times, losing finalists 5 times, won the league once and been runners up twice , also won the league cup and been losing finalists a few times in that too as for Hull being a BETTER supported club than us ..... 3 words NO FUCKING WAY www.nufc.com/html/attendance-all-time.html

You know it's difficult sometimes, I haven't been able to fork out for a season ticket but i will be there next season,I know it will cost me more in the long run on paying match day prices but sometimes it's about cash flow.
All in all the crowds should be excellent next season!

Cannock chase 94000, east staffordshire 108000, Lichfield 96000, Newcastle under Lyme 123000, south staffordshire 106000, stafford 123000, stafffs moorlands 93000, stoke on trent 234000, Tamworth 75000, makes 1,050,000, over a million, fair enough Tamworth, cannock chase, stafford to an extent, south staffs could be decreed as lost causes thats 400000 to right off, but they can be reached, clever marketing and fair pricing can make us a well supported club. Personallly I do not look forward to the glory hunter aspect of non commital fans turning up just because we play in the best league in the world, but that is what success brings, then unfortunately for the good of the club so be it, we know who we are....... My final point is that with even 400000 potential fans taken out of the equation we still have a massive opportunity to make us capable of achieving 30000 to 35000 on a regular basis IF we stay in the premier league, on from then on who knows, with the right knowledge and leadership we are more than capable of achieving this. You left out North Staffordshire and South Cheshire there my friend so your figures will go back up! There are a lot of Stoke supporters this end too!

we do get some support in Stafford but we will always play second fiddle there to Wolves,Villa & WBA as thats the way the media is set up there
anything south of Stafford & you can forget any significant numbers.
still leaves a good 500000 or so if you also include the southern most parts of Cheshire.
be interesting to see just how many people buy a s/t @ the full price.
if we do get some of the better names in - Harewoood/Nugent/Fulop I reckon we WILL still hit the 20000 mark

I like that link. Crewe have a lower all-time average attendance than Barrow, Merthyr Town, Aberdare and Wigan Borough. The Vale have a lower all-time average attendance than Leeds City and Bradford Park Avenue, and even these 5,000 pledges won't change that!

I'm going to have to be at the ground 3 hours before kick off to get a parking space - So am I. And that's with a season ticket for the South CP.

You left out North Staffordshire and South Cheshire there my friend so your figures will go back up! There are a lot of Stoke supporters this end too! Yep - definitely targeted some of the wrong areas there. Cannock/Rugeley/Tamworth - minimal support - they are Wolves and WBA territory . Better to use the Sentinel's circulation areas - Moorlands, Crewe, Nantwich and Northwich, Congleton and Macclesfield etc . Those are the real fringe areas where there is no real top football presence (and yes I do include Crewe in that statement). I went to school in South Cheshire and in the early 80's there was good support in places like Congleton - easy to get to the Vic on the train. Stoke will now be on the radar of people in those fringe areas who want to go to a Premier League football match and have previously tagged onto the likes of Man U on Sky. It's everywhere down to Stafford and upwards from Biddulph to Congleton and Macc that needs to be attracted back. Without sounding too "marketing" it's a great opportunity for the club to get it's foot in the door of some places that actually don't have an "ST1-7" postcode.

Dave, I have to say, once again, that you are spot-on with the pedigree issue
However, when it comes down to average attendances, Hull have performed much better than us in RECENT i.e, last 10 years, times, although as your link shows, they have only averaged 11,000 all-time, while we're on 16,000

Hulls average is ONLY better in the last 4/5 years.
fair play in that they have built their club up & fan base with it but in 10 years time their support will have fucked off big time
