I've just heard that Betley Court has gone up in flames It's the large house on the main road by the long wall near where the show and bonfire are held. I think the appartments are affected as well, really sad news.

Yes , brilliant staff. Part of the chain that includes Hayhurst Arms, Architect at Chester and Old Hall , Sandbach. Incident yesterday involving an ambulance, everyone was brilliant.....there was even a consultant anaesthetist and a mountain rescue medic in the pub who were excellent I don't like porters or dark ales myself, at the moment into Hoegarden

Went back again, had booked a table and got it right by the entrance on a cold evening and they allowed dogs in, right past our table trying to sniff at the food, fookin dogs on a restaurant I ask you.

To me they are all very similar in the chain. If anything I prefer the Architect..... because I can take my son's dog ( sorry about that) on an outside table and then around the racecourse across the road afterward. I agree dogs should be strictly kept away from others... not everyone likes them. . Funnily enough I've had the opposite experience at the Hayhurst, my wife's drink was forgotten/ very late, manager became aware and gave us 6 of the tokens for a £12 meal next time.
