Bit harsh. People are getting excited because we’re finally producing some decent football going forward and there was more entertainment in yesterday’s match than half of last seasons’s home games combined. Waghorn is a good striker at this level. He scored nearly one in two at Rangers and scored 16 in the league for Ipswich a couple of years back. Lindsay wasn’t as tight to him as he could have been but you can’t deny his first goal was a quality finish. I would score 1 in 2 for Rangers Okay pal

I would score 1 in 2 for Rangers Okay pal Nothing personal at all mate. I watch a lot of Scottish football and he only scored for rangers in the scottish second tier. He wasn't even good enough to play in the spl where is record was awful. We've all taken so much punishment this last few years that we think scraping a draw against derby, with the likes of waghorn and huddlestone trundling around blowing chunks, is a good result?

I agree the performances are improving bit with the players we have we should always be better than Derby. I watched large parts of a replay of the game earlier as I couldn't get back to sleep. We have conceded 2 goals, and should have conceded 3, to martyn waghorn. We look too disorganised much of the time, subs don't seem to improve things. We are soft. I expect a lot more from Jones. If we play like we did yesterday, despite the improvements, we will lose the next two games What, even if we convert more of the chances we create? Waghorn isn’t a bad player and one of the goals was a penalty. Why should we suddenly be better than Derby when they finished 10 places above us last season? I would warrant that if you asked any derby fan they would swap their squad for ours, no doubt. We still don't look organised at crucial times during the game, we still aren't getting the best out of what we have, nowhere near.

It’s not so much the result as the performance though is it? View it in the context of our flaws last season and how we started this season. There’s still much to work on but it is getting better, and they are a better side than either of the two who pumped us in the first two games.

Well of course we’re not, it’s three games into the season and we’ve got a new system and nine new players. We’re a work in progress.

Anybody think Shawcross would have made the difference? Missing his organisation I thought that....

But the last two games were so easy to win if we didn't just descend in to a shambles. We don't have the time this season to be throwing away so many points so quickly. Plenty of other teams have changed managers and personnel and Derby lost key players from last season. I just expect more from us. I'd give Jones 6 out of ten for yesterday if I have to give a mark. I acknowledge we have improved in that we are shooting at goal, but he should be playing Nathan Collins, and shouldn't be playing Joe Allen

We’re creating the overloads, we’re opening up space, we’re improving at set pieces. That’s a positive that deserves recognition as much as our continuing openness at the back continues to be a worry. It isn’t going to be perfect for a while yet.

7. Needs to find the balls to change three quarters of the defence that started yesterday.

8* from me....good first half particularly after the setback down really to Allen and Lindsay. Should go in winning at half time.
Poor defending for the second when we were in the ascendancy and then I thought strangely went to 3 at the back to match them for the last minutes effectively settling for the draw. 8 because we are rating Jones and as some have said he can’t score for them!
Etebo has to play at Preston for me and Jones whilst being pleased other teams are matching our shape how he handles it because in the Derby and Charlton games the opposition did better than us at that point!?

He switched to three at the back because Derby were going straight through the middle of our side. Unlike previous managers he kept two up top so we still carried a threat. Derby had no more chances from that point whilst we had two. Good management.

I don’t think it’s quite that simple. Not every back three is going to have a marauding monster like Bielik in it.

That’s a fair response. I still don’t agree with it though! We’re in the Championship now and have to be realistic about the quality of our team and the opposition. Derby have been in the playoffs the last two seasons and will probably be in the mix again. We have no right to run rings around them. “Scrapping a draw” is a harsh assessment too. Save for two poor misses we’d have been out of sight. Was yesterday perfect? No, far from it. Was it a huge improvement on many of our performances in the last year? Definitely. It’s a shame you have to focus on the negatives from a game with so many positives.
